@@Creeperboy099 C6 front end, GT40 rear end. Initially, he was just gonna be a full fledged C6 Corvette, but that would have cost Pixar more money since they'd have to pay GM for every scene that had Mcqueen showing.
How so? Ken's hoonicorn has both digital and analog and they work correctly and its the same engine but his is Twin Turbo even when it was N/A it still worked just fine
Wish it had the current EFI FR9. Display cars, from what I've been told, usually have around detuned to around 500 hp, which still sounds awesome just idling.. That was several years ago so it may be different now.
Basically all you gotta know is the engines are 900HP naturally aspirated, fuel-injected V8s. The exhaust is very bare bones. That's how they sound so good.
I tell you what, when u get one, gonna a way to get it to Daytona for the 500 next year and I'll drive it and win you a Daytona 500, for free. I won't even charge u.
When these go all battery electric I'm gonna miss the noise. All the technology and teamwork and racing will still be fun to watch. And we'll have classic and historic races for the noise.
@@Vinnay94 there is this thing you may have heard of called development of new technologies. It's where we find engineering solutions to issues with emerging technologies. Turns out we're good at it too. Tesla has mostly solved the battery temperature management. The model 3 has a track mode and doesn't have battery overheat problems. The new Model Y has a heat pump instead of resistance heaters now do it's crazy efficient. We are just at the begging of massive battery technology improvements so your argument is outdated and invalid.
@@MegaDysart battery development is improving at an accelerating rate currently (pun). Were just at the beginning of mass manufacturing of batteries for electric cars and the developments already are staggering. Energy density and cost per kWh are both improving exponentially. Tesla is about to drop huge news about their battery development programs later this month. Your race scenario is closer than you think.
@@PoeRacing Oh wow, I didn't know that people could improve new technologies over time hence why cars have different models every year or so. God I'm so stupid!
@Derek Wall Well... Main thing is it needs to be a V8 secondly we go in and change the valves and valve springs so we can replace the stock camshaft with a extra high lift cam and lift duration. Then we'll go in and take the stock exhaust off, Everything from the headers on back. Replace the stock headers that are designed with Max fuel economy and making the engine as quiet as possible with high performance, big sound tubes and straight pipes from the headers on back. Then we'll go in the ECU and change engine idle speed from about 600 rpm to 3,500 rpm. That should give you some good sound my friend! I promise;!
@@Vinnay94 That is just a myth. You literally sound like that old uncle that would say at every mud bog or truck pull "i bet he's got a chevy engine in it" lol NOPE
