I want to apologise to Fernando. Before this season started he said his Aston Martin had a chance and on hearing this I lost a lot of respect for the great guy but seeing him this season I have even MORE respect for the guy he is a warrior, a born champ and nice guy
thank you for respecting the goat. Alonso puts hes faith in projects, he has been deceived many time, the media really made him look bad, that wasnt the case 99% of the time, we see a much calmer alonso, maybe a more grown up alonso thats for sure ok, but the man has always been nice, and i can say this from personal experience from the past just meeting him in a random public shopping mall or something.
The true GOAT, arguably the most well rounded driver ever on par with Loeb. He is a Multiple F1 WDC, one of the most successful F1 driver, a WEC Champion, 2x Le Mans Winner, Daytona 24 Rolex winner. Dude is a top 2-3 driver in his 40s, even the great Michael was not as good in his 40s. Straight up Unbeatable in his prime in early 2010s.

It was *fantastic* Seeing him do so brilliantly during the first half of this season was a joy, and I want him to return to that success as soon as possible. As an aside: One of the arguments against drivers staying in F1 beyond their early-mid 30s is the decline of their reflexes; what he's shown this season is important for the futures of drivers like Checo Pérez, who entered Red Bull in the supposed "beginning of the declining phase" of his career at 31. Hey Chadeo 👍hope you're well my friend, Alonso is a legend, in his career he was youngest pole-sitter, youngest race winner, youngest world champion and youngest two time world champion and he's still got it at 41, definitely my favourite driver currently and a great character,the daddy of the track. Alonso is the oldest guy on the grid by a margin of 6 years. He won two championships before any other current driver was even in F1 and lost out on three more by a combined total of 8 points. This season is the first time he's had a competitive car in a decade, and you can tell how happy he is to not be driving a shitbox.
My favorite part about Fernando is that as long as his car is somewhat competitive, he is the most entertaining person on the entire grid. My favorite youthful 40 y/o 😅
Nice, don't know much about nascar other than talladega nights (great film) and a driver Juan Paylo Montoya because he's ex f1, didn't really like him though he was a bit of a cry baby back then.
He`s a true legend and one of the last real characters in F1. Hope you do some research of Kimi Räikkönen, Sebastian Vettel or Max Verstappen too in the future. They are also very funny.
Have a look at his indy 500 performance in 2017 as well (when taking a break from F1). Up to 6th before his engine blew and maybe led most laps as well.
There are two sides of Alonso. One is this entertaining chap and the other is ruthless competitor who will not shy away from ANY tactic if it takes him to victory. He has mellowed down a lot, and his LeMans stint made him a team player... but... There are two sides to this fellow.
