I have had that happen so many times. Where I'm like, that's interesting. Just not interesting enough to click right now. Then eventually I'm tired of seeing it recommended, or if not it finally becomes the most interesting out of all the other junk on the list.
I guess you haven't seen any of the numerous videos of crashes where stock cars leave the track? It's also a matter of physics. A 3,500 lb stock car versus a 700 lb sprint car...
NHRA: Yeah we just strap a jet engine in front if our feet and hope it works. I don't think they actually use jet engines but i think they have more power than any other motorsport
@@Riggsfan99 yes, but it’s extremely inefficient. in a NHRA drag race, drivers go full throttle (but sometimes let off the gas so they don’t flip over), which, in that case, a full tank of gas in a NHRA vehicle would last about half of a mile.
We went to Talladega for the first time in 1988. Everyone threw their beer cans on the paved section between the fence and the seats. When the cars went by they would suck the cans up against the fence. Quite a breeze!
And that's only Martinsville. I went to Pocono and sat at the end tof the front stretch and I think the highest speed of the race was 196. But on tv they looked so slow

My mom and dad have gone to see the Daytona 500 several times, and my mom told me about how the cars stirred up so much wind as they went by at speed, they would blow lids off of coolers that weren’t properly secured.
It is very true. With the older body styles, it used to blow people over. The newer body styles just don't move the air much anymore. Now, it's all about downforce.
I recall being on the fence back when it was Charlotte Motor Speedway in turn one after a yellow flag. When the green flag dropped, the cars came in 3 wide into turn one and blew the hat off my head. Was great!

the bucket is a nascar racer trainee. already utilizing drafting to gain some ground. we have a bucket full of hopes for the bucket in his racing career.

@@bobsgunk1871 dude i was at one in october its sooo amazingly Loud. At nascar its loud it hurts the ears a little but at an NHRA event you can literally feel you eardrums being compressed I was by the end of the track lol the huge flames are epic.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of race cars flying by at ground shaking speed and the little one is more impressed with the bucket. I find that cute.
