NASCAR Kentucky Speedway Comeback?? - Fall 2023- Horrible Failure of Kentucky Speedway-AcAdapter Inc

Kentucky Speedway is a now-inactive 1.5-mile (2.4 km) tri-oval speedway in Sparta, Kentucky, which hosted ARCA, NASCAR and Indy Racing League racing from its opening in 2000 until 2011 for IndyCar racing and 2020 for ARCA and NASCAR racing. The track is currently owned and operated by Speedway Motorsports, Inc. Before 2008 Jerry Carroll, along with four other investors, were the majority owners of Kentucky Speedway. Depending on layout and configuration the track facility has a grandstand capacity of 107,000.
The speedway has hosted the NASCAR Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, IndyCar Series, and the NASCAR Cup Series.

Hey Broski - I think you are right. Aside from a crazy amount of birds in the grandstands, the infield is the only thing that needs some love. The grandstands and the track surface still look really good. Hopefully we can bring some attention to this track and get some buzz going. Was just at Fontana again, sad to see its being demolished. Stay tuned for that... thx...

Hey BillyS - Thanks for watching. You are correct, they ran the xfinity race in 2020, and amazingly Cole Custer won, and the last cup race was in 2019 won by Kurt Busch. But they need to bring this track back. Adding Iowa was a miss, Rockingham or Kentucky would have been a much better choice. I was just at Fontana this week and at Martinsville last week, so stay tuned, great stuff ahead. thx...

I don't know why NASCAR runs their "All Star Clash" at a Shitty Track like the LA Coliseum when they could run here...

Hey Col James - The coliseum is just a gimmick. I was there last year and the track surface is so small. Its less of a race and more like a parade. It was not my favorite for sure. But with that said, I do have passes to it next year so I will be there. I also just got back from Fontana and the demo is in full effect. Stay tuned, I will be posting that video early next week. Along with my comments. I was surprised at how I felt. Didn't expect it to affect me. thx...

you forgot to list Cole Custer won there in 2020 the last actual winner before the track got shut down honestly it still looks race ready and all that PJ1 crap looks like it's gone question is will nascar or even indycar want to comeback?

Hey NewmanFan - YOU ARE SO CORRECT.... Poor Cole Custer gets no respect from me or SHR. I was referring to cup races, but you are right it was an oversight not calling out the final race was xFinity at Kentucky in 2020. Amazingly, 2020 was the start of Covid and the end of normality. I wonder if that played a part in leaving Kentucky or it was just a great coincidence. The fact that Nascar added Iowa and not Kentucky is kind of a slap in the face. I don't have a single memory of a race at Iowa. Kentucky on the other hand, was a top shelf facility. Aside from an out of control bird problem in the grandstands, the facility is in really good condition. Every time i would fly by the seats, the birds swarmed my aircraft. There were more than a couple near misses. I ended up calling it early to ensure I didn't lose my bird to the birds... Thank you so much for watching and commenting. More great stuff ahead. thx...

I was quite impressed at how well this facility is holding up. The grounds are well manicured and aside from an overwhelming bird population in the grandstands, it appears that it wouldn't take too much work to bring this track back into shape. Since Fontana is off the schedule for at least 2 years, we should really push to get Kentucky back on the schedule. Let me know what you think... thx..

this track on nascar heat 5 pc ..was a blast to make a setup for..1 and 2 get greasy in just a few laps on the bottom groove so you gotta move up, but 3 and 4 every lap is from the wall outside all the way to the bottom line inside. but dont cross it to deep or she spins on the flat. love kentucky

Hey William - I forgot how great this track was. After reviewing past winners, I began to remember how fun it was. Sarah Fisher track record is super impressive. We need this one back for sure. It is in a great location as well, right on the border of Indiana and Ohio. So much to see up there. I was just at Fontana and they are tearing it up. Stay tuned... thx...

Hey BStove - You would be surprised at how good of shape this facility is in. It would take very little to get it race ready. I was also surprised at how large the camp grounds are around the track. I have never been to a race here, but I would definitely go if this track was revived. Would be a great day if that happens. Was just out at Rockingham, so stay tuned for some more good stuff. thx....

Hey WolfPac - Thanks for watching. I had completely forgotten about indycars running at Kentucky. Those cars were monsters there. Who would of thought that Sarah Fisher would have the track record. Crazy... I suspect if they get that track back in shape they could get Nascar and Indy cars back. Fingers crossed, we need some great old tracks back. Was just at Martinsville and Fontana, so stay tuned. More great stuff ahead. thx...
