If there is a part two, I’d include: Kasey Kahnes 2017 Indy win Larson’s 2016 Michigan win Stewart’s 2016 Sonoma win Jimmie 2016 Homestead Earnhardt 2000 Talladega Davey Allison 1993 Richmond Ross Chastain 2019 Daytona Bill Elliott/Alan Kulwicki 1992 Atlanta Jimmie Johnson 2005 Charlotte Ryan Newman 2008 Daytona 500 If I remember more I’ll add them to this
Through all the heartbreak and bad luck that Gordon had in the second half of his career, that win at Martinsville was an epiphany and one of the happiest moments of my nearly 20 years of NASCAR viewing. I miss Gordon but I'm glad he had some moments of glory to close out his career.
I loved how the guy on Dale Jr's radio for the 2001 Pepsi 400 reminded him that Michael helped him win that. Michael had the better car, and was getting ready to pass Jr for the win, when he decided since Jr helped him win the Daytona 500, he was staying behind to block for Jr to win that one.
Part 2 is needed. Suggestions: 2011 Daytona 500 (Trevor Bayne), any win by Jamie McMurray (especially 2002 at Charlotte and the 2010 Daytona 500), Fall Talladega 2000 (Earnhardt Sr.'s final win), 2003 Daytona 500 (This time, Michael Waltrip got to enjoy winning the Great American Race!), 1996 All-Star (Mikey finally proves he's worthy of being a Waltrip), any win by Marcos Ambrose or Martin Truex Jr., Austin Dillon bringing the legendary number 3 back to Daytona's Victory Lane... in the Great American Race, any win by Michael Waltrip Racing
Dale Earnhardt's 1998 Daytona 500 win by far. Great video, there have been a bunch more popular wins other than these, like Petty's 200th (with the President attending).
You forgot Justin Haley at the 2019 Coke Zero 400 @ Daytona after the exciting rain delay finish Oh wait that’s probably one the least favorite of all time
You should do a part 2 to this, many popular wins that weren't on here, Terry Labonte's 03 Southern 500 win, Gordon's 94 Brickyard, Elliott's 02 Brickyard, Tony's last win at Sonoma, Dale Sr's last win, even Johnny Benson's win at Rockingham
2014 was probably Junior's best season at Hendrick Motorsports, period. But it still was what equipment he was driving more anything else, it's a shame that the concussion symptoms kept him from having anymore success after that and 2014 was Jeff Gordon's last bit of magic as well as while he didn't win multiple races, he got a Chase spot in 2015 which was his final season.
the win at martinsville from gordon may have been a great win, but to me, nothing can top both the 2011 atlanta race and especially the 2007 Aaron's 499, it holds a special place in my heart
The 2001 Dura Lube Kmart 400 should've probably been on here. Steve Park-- the winner of the race-- was Dale Earnhardt's driver and won the week after Earnhardt died.
That Elliot win was the week before we actually started moving back into house after the Harvey hurricane and I remember thinking about how that would be a good sign my favorite driver winning
Most popular wins part 2 with the old generation drivers like Terry Labonte getting his final win where he got his first, Darlington. Wins by guys like Bill Elliott, Rusty Wallace, Dale Jarrett, Mark Martin and Bobby Labonte.
The 40th Daytona 500 was the most popular win of all time because of Dale Earnhardt driving to victory after 20 years of trying and 20 years of frustration!!
The thing about Earnhardt winning Daytona and 2014 that's when I started getting into NASCAR and before the race started I thought well I want Dale Earnhardt Jr to win not knowing who he is at all and he won so that was the best guess of my life
2:35. Even if jr wasnt your favorite driver (he wasnt mine jeff was) no way anyone could've been mad because he won that race. "Dale Earnhardt JR using lessons learned from his father" goosebumps
Update: Alex Bowman won his first race in Camping World 400 2019 at Chicagoland, and Justin Haley makes an upset victory in Coke Zero Sugar 400 2019 at Daytona.
The 2014 Daytona 500 I’ll never forget. I was in my bedroom, 1 in the morning my dad was sleeping and I tried so hard not to scream and cheer to wake him up but I failed😂😂😂😂aside from the 2018 Daytona 500, the 2014 Daytona 500 is my favorite race I’ve watched
How about NASCAR's "Most Mysterious Debris Cautions That Manipulated The Outcome of the Race" ? That's why I don't watch NASCAR anymore and probably a good reason why the stands at most tracks are half empty now.
