This is one of the most underrated NASCAR themes of all time. Not only is it good for races but I think it could be used in other sporting events such as the Super Bowl. The last part of the theme just screams Super Bowl intro
Nascar Themes in the 1990’s hold a deep place in my heart despite being born in 2000. Just listening to these just gives you a feeling you don’t really get these days with the current themes. With Fox going back to the OG theme recently brought a happy feeling. Hope this godly theme makes a return in some form in the near future.
2025 at the earliest because that is when NASCAR's new TV deal begins. WarnerMedia (the company that owns TBS & TNT) has a good shot of getting NASCAR back because FOX is appearing to lose interest & NBC wants to focus more on Indycar when it comes to motorsports.
He also did Monday Night Football in 1989, The Atlanta Braves on TBS theme from 1996, the full length Turner Sports theme from 1995 and my favorite, the 1992-96/2000-06 New York Rangers on MSG Network theme.
Kalehoff did almost all of ABC Sports and Turner Sports themes in the 1990s and early 2000s. He also redid the ABC World News Tonight theme around that time into its most well-known incarnation
U23D! Maybe you'd know the answer to this, do you know if it's possible to find a copy of the piano version of this that was used for starting grid? Ever since I heard it from the 1997 coke 600 I've wanted to find that, I feel like a dick to say it this week that we just lost Ken Squire, rest well ol man, as he was the one narrating the starting grid lineup. Figured I'd ask you, since maybe you'd know of anyone
Oh boy... I just got a great idea for a one-off race for the Cup90 NR2003 mod, with the 1990 Daytona track. Gotta see which year to choose though. This song would be great to use
TBS never had the Daytona 500, they had the World 600 (Coca-Cola 600), UAW GM-Quality/Mello Yello 500 (Charlotte), & Pennsylvania 500 (Pocono) as well as the exhibition races in Japan
