This is a video I put together of some of NASCAR's wildest flips. None of the crashes you see in this video are fatal. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed!
When I used to watch Nascar, there were 2 reasons for me watching it. Those 2 reasons being very close finishes and huge wrecks. My favorite was when Brad Keselowski won at Talladega in 2009 by wrecking Carl Edwards which in my view started a huge rivalry between the two.
The reason of that is because the wreck in CARS was inspired by this one. It is actually the same person in both, since in the real wreck who wrecks is Richard Petty (nicknamed The King), and in CARS its name is the King, which is even voiced by Richard Petty himself 😉
Daytona was *not* a friend to Rusty Wallace. Neither was Talladega, as Rusty himself said in 1992. That man had the *worst* luck at superspeedways, but that's to be expected, as Rusty was a short track specialist.
When I was younger I really didn't understand just how fast that these cars can and do travel. I remember thinking, oh they're not going that fast. Well at least it didn't appear that they were. However as I got older, I believe it was at the time that I started driving. I came to realize just how fast these cars are moving. At that time I then thought how can these drivers survive a crash going that fast? Then they figured out how to make these cars go even faster. But thank GOD they installed softer impact barriers. Strengthened the catch fence. Implemented more safety precautions. Plus invented and installed stronger safety gear. I only wish that that harness for the neck would have been available to save Dale Sr's life. RIP the goat of NASCAR.
I'm surprised Dale Earnhardt senior R. I. P. isn't in here. It's amazing that these drivers can get through some of these crashes alive. and people try to say this isn't a sport this is truly dangerous and people need to appreciate that
