In this video I finish the boom tube made from scrap conduit and install it on the f250. I take it to my top secret track and put it to the test. Horse power was ACTUALLY unlocked
@@brandonenglund7516 Well its not everything, but the reason do it for Dale is a thing is because he was probably the most popular driver of all time. He's the reason a lot of people got into NASCAR, when he was alive he was one of the most, if not the most entertaining driver on the track. Then he died in a bad accident in Daytona, and a lot of people still really miss watching him race. He was one of a kind and he died before his time. Get the stick out of your ass, if people want to pay tribute to their favorite driver, that's fine.
@@solenya2400I don't know poop about NASCAR. And I really don't care to learn about it because that's all I hear or read when NASCAR is the subject. Dale, Dale, and Dale. I don't like the guy due to the fanaticism he has (I will make time to learn something about him though). But I feel obligated to like Dale *IF* I got into NASCAR. Correct me if I am wrong, didn't that happen a long time ago? This reminds me of the fanaticism the singer Selena has. "Gone before her time"... Yea like millions of other talented and hard working singers (drivers in this instance). Did Dale directly save countless innocent lives? Was he actively curing cancer or ending world hunger? Or was he just an aspiring Driver? I get it when people like a talented and passionate driver. But I've seen way more people putting someone down for not liking Dale than Dale haters. Not very welcoming tbh
One suggestion for you I made this mistake years ago never never never never never weld your exhaust with a solid mount it will always break loose as the engine Torx always use a rubber hanger
You should try to avoid welding anywhere on the frame between front and rear suspension. Looking at the weld ..it doesn't look like much heat penetrated the frame however it will weaken the frame→ IF needed, drill a hole fill it with hardened Bolt w Exhaust bracket+ rubber hang dang.
Look up the boom tube that The Craig 909 built on his f100. Might be able to fine tune yours based off his. Just got rid of my '79 F250 w/ a 460. Love the old fords!
Craig909's truck is a built high comp high rpm 302 engine, so to get it to that level will be a little more then just an exhaust but this setup still sounds really really good.
Big Red did this on their Camaro DECADES ago. I'm kind of surprised, TBH. Very few people realize that if you want NASCAR sound, you need a NASCAR exhaust. LOL.
That whole things sick!!! I 302 swapped my ranger and just left the exhaust open after the muffler but now I know what I GOTTA do, thanks for the idea bro!!
man you really cant beat the throatiness and the roar of old fords when you really open them up. Boom tubes is a STELLAR choice in my opinion and looks great on it. Only other thing cooler to me than boom tubes might be some big flapper-cap stacks that start from a honkin resonator below the cab and come up along the seam between the bed and cab. Used to have a 76 F150 with the same setup and that baby looked MEAN when i had to take the bed off.
This video just happened to pop up in my recommended. About 2 minutes into it, I had to subscribe. Awesome job, buddy!! Those look great and sound even better!! Looking forward to checking out your other vids!
This is one of the most American 🇺🇸 videos I’ve ever seen. The only thing missing is a hot country girl, gun, and beer. You got the American Flag, Bass Pro Shop hat, F150, and NASCAR exhaust! Hell yeah brother!
wow that's a win for sure would look really good on my 66 Chevelle Malibu but I already completed that part of the project hummmm maybe wife's 38 Chevy truck 🤔
It’s definitely doing something that’s not just a lack of back pressure. The last exhaust I had on the truck was very low back pressure. This one hits around 5500, which is where my single plane intake would hit as well
I drive a 1977 Ford LTD Landau, 4 door, with a stock 400m and FMX transmission and a 1999 Dodge 3500 4x4, 24 valve 5.9 Cummins with a 47RE transmission that's out right now. Chasing money to fix both, but I'll get there
Love it! I'm trying to figure out how to make my duramax deeper and more throaty. Thinking of a 3½ to 5" megaphone down to a 4¼" out to a 6" tip all mandrel bent stainless. We will see what happens with it!
My brothers 84 dodge d150 sound awsome. I got a sound clip on my channel but i had a xpipe from a Corvette ZR1 laying around our shop so we put it on the dodge. i dont know what we might do with it now a nascar boom tube or dual 3in chrome tips out the Passenger side
Looks like I’ll have to go back and see what you’ve done to this truck. Sounds great. By the way… 9:22 “I kinda smell something burning” are some of my famous last words 😉. New sub here dude!
Damn this sounds wicked. I daily a 1981 olds 98 regency with an olds 307 boat anchor haha but I may have to change out my exhaust setup to this, dumped in front of the rear tires.
now retune your carb so you don't end up pinching a piston from it being so dang loud you don't hear pinging like thecraig909 lol. Also I have a 76 F250 with a high(er) comp 390. Still a boat anchor of an engine, but at least now it can spin the rears with a 3.07 D61. Boom tubes sound like fun tho!
My grandfathers old Mk2 Golf is in a state of disrepair, I also have another Mk2 Golf me and the boys bought for local autocross event (I say its mine because I the boys decided I should hold the title for giving the largest sum), and I intend on buying a Mercedes, either a C123 or 190E. Awesome fuckin pipes youve made btw! Id love to see if I can fit something like that in the future when I do buy that Mercedes I wanna buy.
I love Mercedes, I grew up in a few and learned how to drive in a 1987 300E. Golf’s are cool too. My brother has one with a turbo upgrade and a tune and it rips hard
I have a 90 f150 5L single cab long bed. I want to take off the fuel injection and put a carburetor on it but somethings fuckey with the fuel pump. My dad has an 89 grand marquis with the same engine. Both beautiful cars.
Nice! You should watch my video about my 1996 suburban, “crank no start”. I thought about ripping the fuel injection off of it many times but I fixed the issue. Cheers!
The exhaust sounds freaking killer, well done man. However, you lost me at the end when you said "should I do a short bed conversion". To that, I say HELL NO. Long bed trucks are rarer than short beds now because of resto modders cutting up and ruining classic long beds. You dont know what you have there man those long beds are work horses and in my opinion, the longer bed actually looks nicer and short beds always look cartooney. I mean, you COULD do a frame swap, its just taking everything off that truck and putting it on a new frame with a new short bed, easier said than done, but that way you dont have to cut her to pieces. I mean you do you bro you made a sick exhaust but personally I couldnt bring myself to turn a long bed into a short bed especially since the long beds are actually starting become more valuable than the other.
Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback, I mean that. I’m still on the fence about the short bed conversion. Currently using the truck as my daily driver and work truck so long bed is needed. Cheers!
You got me wanting to redo the exhaust on my 00 Sierra RCSB. Got short tube headers with dual flowmaster super 10s with rear bumper exits. Doesn’t actually sound that great. Been wanting a side exit for a while now and I might just go for it
i have an 86 volvo 740 gle with a non turbo (for now) b230f, i put in a pre cat cutout so i can go quiet in neiborhoods, and im finishing up a coilover swap! ive done sway bars, braces, a cam, an intake, and a few other minor things so far
What engine is in this truck? I have a 68 F100 302 from a 2000 explorer and a 5 speed from an 04 F150 with shorty headers, x pipe and black widow race venoms
Looks killer, I have a side pipe on my grand marquis. Only thing I’d recommend is using a rubber hanger. A solid mount will often break or crank the pipe
I have a 88 firebird with a 350 4 barrel carburetter Hooker dump exhausted long tube headers Drag slicks Adding Blower And going for a stroker kit Also drive a 03 ram with the btr stage 2 cams Straight pipe dump behind passenger rear door
06:24. Scientists, engineers, & a select cadre of astro-physically enriched midgets have proven that having 'Ole Glory plastered to your vehicle's ceiling, makes it sound 100% more 'Merica!
Pretty neat result. I need to build an x-pipe to boom tube setup on at least one of my race cars 😂. I run demo derby dirt oval with a 302w swapped rx7 and early stock class asphalt oval with a 300 Ford powered '29 Studebaker.
I love this! So stoked that I found this channel so early on. You’ve earned a subscriber my friend. I’m from Australia and I’m looking to get my hands on a late bumpside early dentside F100. Keen to see where the F truck goes!
That's great man. I'm in an 07 hemi ram with a single straight with both cats. Southwest PA is a bummer with emissions. I lived a little further north my whole life and the emissions weren't an issue. I had straight duals on everything. I'm gonna work on some boom tubes. 👊 Subbed.
I like it. It even looks better with the bracing inside. I'm a Ford guy so here is my rundown.... 1964 Fairlane 500 289 4-speed...1978 Mustang ll 302 4-speed....1992 F150 302-auto....1996 F250 PSD auto....1997 Explorer 302-auto...and the wife has a 2019 Edge 2.0 auto. Great video...
I’d say it was meant to be 🔥 Don’t forget to make sure the AFR is correct, changing exhaust styles can majorly change that, if you have a carb. Bad AFR = Engine goes boom, just tryna look out 😎🔧 Also proper AFR means better fuel mileage and more power.
