idk if anyone else is like me but i love the little things like changing from dusk to night or the full victory lane celebration i mean it made career mode feel real cause you get to experience the thrill of i win anyone else agree?

Anyone ever drive backwards at daytona or talledega to cause the biggest wreck you could? lol

This is a cool intro, it really gets you pumped for the race.

Good graphics doesn't mean good game play. game graphics weren't the best, but replay value is infinite, Still play mine today

oh, I also want to say that you did a good job holding onto to the car on the last lap. I'm aware that it is no issue at a track like Daytona but something tells me you could've held onto that car with 4 red tires.

i remember i had to mess up the default setup just to make the car slower to help with pack racing! great game!

Man this brings back some good memories! Hopefully I can get my ps2 going again tomorrow to play this!

By far the best EA Nascar game made to date ever since Total Team Control in '06 the franchise just went downhill from there..

Man, you don't realize how bad the graphics were back then until you have an xbox 360. Lol. I would be on this game all day back in the day. Good times, good times. Great soundtrack too.

i miss 03 and 04 :( you know vicotry lane actually exists, the commentary at the start, career mode was fun...

this was my first video game ever and i loved it so much po the ps2, but it stoped working and i kept trying to clean it and now it only plays the opening cutsceen,but anywaythe old nascar games are the best!

I should get a PS2 and get my good old NASCAR games back. I liked NASCAR Thunder 2003 better than 2004. Career Mode didn't seem to be as tough.

Race as Ryan Newman on Veteran or Legend difficulty and race length at 5% or more, you should get the schemes.

@erasetoimprove you can win every race in the first season even on legendary. You just need to know how to set the car and the pretty cheesy strategies. If any one would like to know these setups and strategies just message me. Yes i still play this game its amazing.

actually it was 2002 but this game is still awsome!

you cant have either tobacco or alcohol products & they have neither on here yet i think they can get away with saying it so for example if you saw dale jr doing a live challange video he might say budweiser but they would blur it off his uniform but i may be wrong

@erasetoimprove if ya want the setups i cvan give them to you there very simple plus on any speedway track the setups only change on the wedge nothing else daytona and talledega same exact setup.

@erasetoimprove Yeah the last NASCAR game I had was NASCAR 06 and even then it was getting too easy. Maybe I made the Career Mode in 2004 tougher than it should have been. I always ran out of money trying to buy shop upgrades. lol

I just didn't like this one, I just liked banging into guys and them not paying back. I just hated the cars getting all squirrely too. They had better in NASCAR Thunder 2003. I liked the previous year better.

you need to work on your setup you have no speed by the way this isnt legendary. Here a daytona setup that you can hit 190+ mph without draft Wedge 4.0 qualify 2.0 race/ rear and front springs 100% /daytona 500 go as far as you can on gas when you pick take no tires just 1 can of fuel lower wedge to 0.0 to block/ this works on legendary and all other difficulties work really well on the first race of career mode try it out tell me wat you think. i have setups for all tracks let me know if you
