Can Nashville Hot Chicken be turned into wings?
Inspired by the classic fried chicken recipe, we created our own hot chicken homage with these spicy, grilled chicken wings. But beware, these wings are messy and SPICY so be sure to bring some extra napkins and some cold beer. Full recipe is below. Enjoy! - M&M Barlow

NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE
(the measurements included are good for approx 16 individual wings. Adjust measurements as necessary if using more or less wings)
Start by coating each wing lightly in a mix of 1/4 cup corn starch and 2 tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning or your favorite rub or seasoning.
FOR A GAS GRILL: light two burners on high and let grill warm to at least 400 degrees
FOR A CHARCOAL GRILL: fill a starter chimney full with charcoal and light. Once the charcoal is fully ignited, dump into the grill for direct cooking.
Place the wings over direct heat on the grill, flipping every 5 minutes until wings have turned a golden brown color and are crispy - approx 20-30 minutes. Interntal temp of the wings should read around 180-190 degrees. When done, remove them from the grill, tent in foil and rest for 10 minutes.
NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN WING SAUCE
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp cayenne pepper
1.5 tbsp raw sugar/turbinado sugar
1/4 cup hot sauce
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium high heat. Add the garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper and saute in the butter until fragrant. Next add the sugar and hot sauce and stir until well combined. Continue to let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes. When the wings are done, toss them in the sauce and serve immediately.
