I don't want to go hard on English cricket schedule, but yeah The Hundred is an absolute joke. It's such a needless, senseless competition that only eats time from the already cramped English summer. So it's a very polite request from the depth of a cricket fan's heart, that stop this competition and instead play more 50 over cricket to improve the skills of the players!
@@snehalkhatri9357 look 50 over is a very true form of cricket and by true I mean that it tests the batsman in every way ,be it handling the new ball or rotating the strike in the middle overs or hitting the big ones in the last overs. So it forces a player to utilise all his skills and that's why it should be promoted more and the hundred should be stopped
50 over cricket can ebb and flow through the day. It's a fascinating form of the game and still finishes in a few hours. Watching Rocky Flintoff build an innings today when all around him were giving their wickets away was worth much more than watching 50 metre "sixes" in the hit and giggle Hundred
Potential xi for first test vs srilanka 1.Lawrence 2.Duckett 3.Pope(c) 4.Root 5.Brook(vc) 6.J Smith(wk) 7.Woakes 8.M Potts 9.Atkinson 10.Bashir 11.Wood Ben Stokes ruled out Sri Lanka test series due to injury Ollie pope will lead as captain for England vs Sri Lanka 👏👏
Add ramesh mendis to the england squad. He’s a well trained pressure release valve that helps out the opposition with 2 short and wide balls an over consistently.
Lmao. No shot. They might give the Aussies a run for their money but Australia has a much more lethal bowling attack and has an off-spinner who can turn games on their head. Bazball in India has already failed. All it helped them do is mount a fight, but the style of play will result in inconsistency and inconsistency can screw you up in the face of a reversing ball and a turning one. Oddly enough they sucked against the new ball and variable bounce too.
@@sushantgulati bazball is not about pragmatism. It's about faith. If your batsman wants to cut a full length delivery from a spinner then he will even if it is ill advised. Bazball being a faith based style of play is why the batting part of it falters due to poor shot selection on most occasions. Even Root was found wanting in a couple of tests in India.
England people with low mind set My England team 1 Duckett 2 de plooye 3 Malan 4 root 5 brook 6 Stokes 7 Jami smith 8 woakes/ Sam Curran 9 tongue 10 wood 11 archer / attingson
Still no left arm quick. Yes the average pace has gone up but it's still too many of the same bowler. And no leggy either. Not worth trying anyone? And no Haseeb Hameed?
Haseeb has improved but he’s not good enough I don’t think yet. Look no leg spin against Windies work and so did the pace. We’ll see what happens against SL.
Can't believe how easily a team saying the wtc doesn't matter is being viewed in a matter of fact manner. And this obsession with ashes is funny England do this everytime they have an away ashes coming and yet haven't won a game in aus for 15 years
Jonny Bairstow should have been there. Jonny imposes fear in the minds of his opponents when he walks out to bat irrespective of the format. Surprisingly even his name was not uttered in this healthy conversation which is quite disappointing.
Hi NAS & DK I have a question about test cricket. Why not introduce a coin toss for the second innings? Please discuss test cricket when you have time. Another Great thing is missing in test cricket nowadays: “follow-on.” Avoid the “follow on “to get 2nd innings toss options.
I mean he has two test tons so he's shown he can perform at that level it's just the consistency issue and or batting in different conditions. It has however been a good few years since he played for England so there is an argument he has improved since then. I personally however would rather have given someone like Ben Compton a go and have a look at him.
Dan Lawrence has terrible technique. He might be ok against SL, but against decent teams he has been found out time and again. I’d rather see Jordan Cox given a chance.
