Because they can't play tennis well enough or they lack athleticism or they're getting old or they have an injury. They're forced to. I'm a tennis player and I tried this crap a couple of times. Felt like I was capitulating on life playing pickleball over tennis lol.
@@FrancisTankana-jw6of Says the guy that would be destroyed in a PB game by the kids athleticism. Maybe not a ton of power yet but agility, hand eye coordination, touch, reflexes and quickness all on display. You obviously don't play sports.
I love love love playing pickleball. It is sooooo addictive. My group of friends played tennis together for more than 18 years has all switched over to playing pickleball now. We used to play tennis twice a week, but now are playing PickleBall 3-4 times. Can't wait to play again tomorrow...
Play 3 times a week. I play many sports, basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket etc Pickleball is like democracy. These are the rules and it gives even a 60 yr old chanceto beat a 30 yr old. Games are to have fun and socialize to begin with.
Been playing tennis for 20 years and i don’t get the hate for this game. It looks fun. We only hate it at the club because it’s so noisy. If it starts getting some facilities completely dedicated to pickleball that would great.
Comments go to show you how sad people are these days, you can enjoy your sport and let other people enjoy theirs, its ok nobody is going to hurt you if you don't put other people down.
Pickleball is so huge now and I don't think it is a gimmick. With tennis, I play 1vs1 and one needs to do lot of running around. Speed, cardio and agility are my strengths so tennis is more appealing to me. With pickleball, it seems more to be played 2vs2 and you don't need to run around a lot like tennis. People who maybe older, lack mobility/speed or have knee issues maybe more appealed to pickleball. Tennis is my favorite but I also have 4 pickleball paddles, portable pickleball net and also a ping pong table.
Try playing singles homie, doubles is more based on strategy finesse and teamwork which is why its a great sport for older people but try singles with someone good and I promise you will find there is a lot of court to cover and being a tennis player will make it fun because you already have the athleticism, shot selection and court awareness needed for it.
Im good bro. That game has zero skill. I have played singles and it sucks. GAME HAS LITERALLY NO SKILL. dont even reply bruh. I HATE you guys. You take up courts for a real sport. you dont respect the game AT ALL. @@evannatteford1784
@@mclovin2155you think hating on people for playing a sport that they enjoy is justified 🤣 people say that its just for retired people but I’m 15 and enjoy playing it. Just because it’s not as difficult to learn and get good at as other sports doesn’t mean people can’t enjoy it without people hating on them
Uhhh... this kid did't play tennis hilariously enough. He was more Baseball than anything (and other sports in the background), but never spent much time on any of them until he picked up Pickleball. From what his father & I spoke about, kid was just a natural athlete in most that he played. He'll go far and make it Pro Wise. When.... I wanna say probably in 2-3 years haha
Issue with Tennis is it's high entry barrier. To play modest level of tennis, you need 10 times or more dedication and time than PB. So for those who invested in tennis and very good at it, stick with tennis. You wont get that same mental satisfaction. But for a lot of us, PB gives an easy ramp to have some fun.
I love reading all these haters comments like “real men play tennis not pickle ball.” As if the football players weren’t giving you “wet willies” and stealing your lunch money in high school lmao.
Ha yeah for real dude. It cracks me up that people are like this about ANY sport these days. Like move the fuck along. Once you hit a certain age you realize that if someoje is skilled at something you show respect. Even if its not your thing. All these posts are probably high school or college kids whos balls havent dropped yet
I rewatched that part and I think he says “how did he hit that” referring to the fact he ran back on the lob and had a really good reset shot into the kitchen preventing the other team from scoring off an overhead shot
@@brianfoley2410unfortunately I don’t think that’s what he meant, ALTHOUGH you’re definitely right , the kid hit a great defensive shot but the guy literally just seemed perplexed that he ran down a lob…….
Играл в такую игру в 1985 году и далее года три. Очень увлекательная игра. Мы играли паролоновым мячем. Мастером большого шлема становишься через месяц. Рекомендую
@tuannguyen3870 I am with you there. I've played every sport. If it had a ball, a racket, a mitt, I was on the court or field. I'm addicted to pickleball and have never had this much fun in a sport. I went to play yesterday and the county rec club changed the schedule, so no pickleball at that time this month. I wish a dedicated center would come here.
Tennis & Pickleball are completely two different things, even though Pickleball is a combination of Tennis, Badminton & Ping Pong, but a lot of people play both Tennis & Pickleball, I play and I teach both, and I’m still good
People that are hating on this sport are people who havent tried pickleball. Ive been playing badminton all my life and i think pickleball is such a fun sports to play.
for me im not the biggest fan of pickleball and the only reason i went to video was because it was on my recommendation and i wanted to see how good they were
@@snow-qx2vj I have no problem with that Snow. I'm just not a big fan of people that say negative things about a sport that don't even play or want to play pickleball. I've never played one day of football in my entire life but I don't go around crying about how stupid of a game it is just because I don't play it. I enjoy watching football, tennis, soccer, or practically any sport that there is in the known world. Just seems like if somebody is a true overall sports fan they wouldn't belittle any sport especially if they don't even understand the rules of playing it
@@daniellemke8425don’t even worry about it. They’re deranged people. They hate pickleball for no reason at all. And yet they try repping tennis as if that’s something interesting.
I can already hear the womp womps and get a life or something like that but I get pissed that people say pickleball is not a real sport and its for old people in my opinion i think its very fun
Except that, no, that isn't how it works. I've played tennis for years. Ping pong, too. Pickleball is similar to both but requires an entirely different set of skills. And the game will run you ragged. Play for a month and see if it's as easy as you think.
I play all three, and your comment is ridiculous. They're different sports but all good. Why you feel like you need to put down this sport is beyond me. It's fun, it's social, lots of pro athletes love it (including pro tennis players).
Kid in the blue shirt literally dropped the ball in the kitchen while running the other way. That was a really amazing shot. Both of them had great shots and gets. Adults on the other side missed some pretty big opportunities, but also played pretty well. Tennis clowns in here hating. PB is easy to pick up, but hard to be a high level. Most never get past a 3.5 from my experience. You do have to be athletic and very quick to get to a high level. If you think its easy to be good, you haven't played good players... period.
So salty here😂 these are kids just let them be kids and enjoy being good at something. Why do people insist on not being able to enjoy things if it “looks lame” or “isn’t hard”? Just enjoy life a little, geez this is a great way to go move around and spend time in community outside of video games. Just relax 😂
Because this is a comment section, and people are entitled to write whatever they want. It's funny how people always assume that haters are just nerds who have never tried pickleball. Maybe they are bored because pickleball is boring, and they would rather stick with tennis.
Yes, it’s extremely annoying, watching a young, athletic tennis player come in and try Pickleball and get smoked by a fat guy because the fat guy makes better decisions with the ball quicker and has a soft game. Pickleball, where your athleticism is only part of the equation.
@@SourBiscuit-1102imo it's better for a sport to not rely on athletic ability as much as sport-specific technique, I don't like pickleball either because at the top level, retired tennis players are on the same level if not better than pro pickleballers
@@SourBiscuit-1102a good tenis player can actually be at pro level at pickleball , u can't tell the opposite , no pickleball player can do sht at tenis even at amateur level 😂
The kid in the blue stepped in the kitchen. Isnt he suppose to avoid that area until after hes made contact with the ball. Im a noob this is a genuine question. This game seems pretty fun
Pickle ball is more practical to play than tennis. Not everybody has a racket or a bunch of tennis balls. Obviously I love tennis but pickle ball is a great way for everybody to get involved
It's just longer rallies/quicker games/easier pickup games/more games being played/faster hands (at close range)/etc. That's why people get more enjoyment out of it than tennis where it just takes longer to retrieve balls, find play partners, have a quick conversation between a point. Etc etc.
@@adamquimby2694 as a tennis player we are now allowing low noise level paddles on the back 2 courts. We figured these guys won’t be playing much of anything soon as they are very old. They have to take the trash to the dumpster for all courts and they are not to use the lights.
I'm 12 and this dude looks like light work. There are plenty of other players that are better than this but props to the guy (btw I came from tennis so I can hold wild rallies)
