@@abangthor1330 check out the hypergeometric calculator on Swimstrim.com you can calculate out the odds of actually drawing a card on a turn. If you are hard mulliganing specifically for spirit fire, and you run 2 in your deck. On turn 4 (first turn you could play it). You have 51.5% odds to have drawn at least 1. If you run 3 copies of spirit fire on turn 4 if you hard mulligan, you have a 66.8% chance to draw 1 spirit fire. So the odds really are not that bad. Turn 5 with 3 copies is 70% chance. So you are more likely than not to draw your answer. And you only need 1. And this card basically hard shuts down decks like current pirate agro. So on turn 4 a card that you got a 51% or 2/3rd chance (depending on how many you run) to massively swing the game. Those numbers are in your favor. The math at base feels counter intuitive. I have 40 cards in deck and need 1 of 3. My odds are not great. But when you do the math, it is actually pretty good.
plus I was referring to the champion undying being a great deck with kindred not necessarily with nasus. i do realise that at the time he hadn't watched the kindred reveal tho so my bad
@@arthurmedeiros4929 Yep! Also the way they synergise is pretty cool since Thresh just challenges the weakest unit and after he kills it Kindred then marks the weakest unit, so even even if your opponent summons a big unit u just mark it with her and it does at the end of the turn. Also the marks can lvl up Thresh quickly as you are garunteed to have at least one unit dying at the end of the turn, and with double Kindred (especially if they are lvled up) your opponent is kinda fucked.
Basically: your card causes something that causes death = no stacks. The card has to directly cause the death, so mystic shot works but death mark doesn’t. Single combat gives only one stack because it causes the strike, and it’s the opponent’s card’s strike that kills your unit.
I think single combat will work. Because when you have level 1 swain and used a single combat. If a 3/3 attacks a 3/3. Swain will get 6 damage progress towards level up. It happened to me awhile back and threw me for a loop I was very confused. Maybe they changed it. It is cool to see him hyping undying with just nasus out. And tomorrow when we see kindred he is gonna be amped
@grapplr In the intro video, if he had attacked with butcher, soraka would have chumped for free and Nasus still wouldn't have levelled as the butcher wouldn't have slain her ya Papaya
Hey just wanted to say I apreciate how ridicously well edited this reactions are. Even tho I've seen the cards already I will always com and check your thoughts on them cause you usually have unique insights that other miss. gj grap
No one has notice the sun disc in the nexus. When renek ascended the sun disc didn't rise while when it comes to Nasus (and probably Azir) it rises (because that's Azir's passive in LoL)
thanks to you, i enlightened to see how good spirit of fire and rite of dominance i cant wait to try undying with those card, im so excited rn, nasus x kindred looks spicy
The duality of players: The Skilled Roy was over the moon over how powerful he thinks Baccai Reaper is, and then there's Grapplr with just a "meh". I don't know what to believe anymore
What I like most in this new card preview videos, is how different the opinions are. Some see plays where others don't. Personally I think Weight of Judgment iz rather overlooked. Its value lies in the choice you can make, and in a control deck as one with Nasus, being able to deal 7 damage to a hard to kill unit in late game, is a lot. Not great, but better than it seems.
Right of calling is gonna be an automatic 3 of in any deck that has 3+ cahmpions it's literally a 0 mana cantrip that tutors a better than average card
The condition of hitting 13+ slays by turn 8 might not be that hard if you run Ruination to do on 6. You just need to play cheap units with multiple bodies so you also are hitting your own units with ruination, and you can go anywhere from 2 slays to 12.
Mono Shurima will probrably be 3 Renektons, 1 Nasus and 2 Azirs (I'm assuming Azir will be an expensive card). You want all 3 to maximize the draw from sun disc. Nasus will be good lategame in that deck, but in a list not dedicaded to proc slays, he'll likely be too slow to play before that point.
I agree. Nasus can be leveled in-deck (you still need to hit with him, but it's stacks that matter) so he fits well as one-of, while Renekton needs to actually be on the field so you want to draw him consistently.
Love the vid, but I am quite sure you are wrong about ephemerals: the card has the keyword which says that on strike or round end "kill me" right? So it caused itself to die via a strike or direct kill effect. If you trade with an ephemeral you might only get one though depending on how the game timings work Edit: also kegs will work because whether the damage is dealt by the keg or by the spell, it's one of your units killing a unit via direct damage
I actually disagree with your take on Spirit Fire and the Slay mechanic... I think the card grants the ability to the opponents units and then, at the end of the round, the ability triggers and those units kill themselves. So even though the ability is added by your card it is triggered by the opponents units, therefore no slay. Of course, as always, we'll have to wait and see.
0:52 GrappLr confirmed bad at game. If they attacked with Ravenous Butcher, the enemy can block with Soraka who is at 2|7, killing the Butcher and will have been a wasted attack.
I dont know about sun disc, the trailer showed on a Nasus/last words deck. I think Nasus cant be full power with the cards that are revealed already, because you cant run a sun disc on a not pure deck, but will be a really good champion on immortal, but a sun disc i dont think that will be good for him
@@lonewandererfo3 the problem is Consistency. Sun disc basically needs to be played turn 1. Unless i am forgetting a card that lowers Countdown. If you level 1 champion draw all 3 "lower the sun disc countdown by 2" the earliest you can get it is turn 9 assuming you played it turn 1. The only way you may get it earlier is leveling both nas and renk or azir.
Nasus feels very redundant in Undying decks. If you’ve slain tons of your own Undyings, you will usually already have big units on board, so why play Nasus? I might just be crazy though.
why he play like that?? because the video is supposed to be show the new card effect or function.... instead of fast end the game, he let it for another round, so he can show the deck/new cards work
