That's gold, the bit about the reef, I worked with biosecurity on the Rifa program. That's exactly the attitude, these comedians are so in tune with culture, they are sages
In two decades of watching youtube, rarely has a comedy compilation managed to ACTUALLY get my heartrate up like this from vicarious irritation, the show looks hilarious but I don’t know if I’m strong enough to handle more than snippets at a time lol
It is equal measures funny and blood boiling. I can't listen to it while working, othewise I start to get really angry outta nowhere. The secret is not to let yourself empathyze with anyone but the unhinged people, which is not always feasible. It is worth it, though!
Please, PLEASE make this available in the U.S. again. Even if it's in DVD form. Hell, even if it's in VHS form. I need this series. It speaks straight to the narrative.
Yep She's brilliant. I love how she does her best to cope with her workmates. But she probably gets home, puts on trackey daks, cracks a beer, and thinks, " what a bunch of fwits"
Oh man the “What about the Mexican Community … aren’t we apologizing to them? I think Social Media is more important” this hurts…. When online “feelings” mean more than an actual community of ppl 😒 What a time to be alive 😅
The character, Nat, and Celia's performance, . . both fantastic! The writers of this series have been through office and HR hell to write these scenes. Must be time for another series, please!
A few of their shows have been remade by UK production companies. I’m surprised they haven’t done that with this show. It has been on TV in Australia for a decade now and it has been incredibly successful.
Your guys are just the best! You're so good with capturing the emptiness of the corporate environment that I'm actually laughing when scrolling on linkedin
At the 5 minute 22 second mark, check out Courtneys' enthusiastic head nod in the background 😂 It's the kind of thing you don't notice at first but upon the 3rd or 4th viewing it makes the scene all the more funnier 😅 Nina Oyama is brilliant as is Emma-Louise Wilson as Katie 👏 Superb supporting actors in a masterpiece of a series that must be a lot of fun to make 😁
I work for a large Federal department, and this is so accurate to real life that it's scary. I'm very old school (near retirement age) and hate with a vengeance all of the management jargon that says nothing substantive.
12:20 I resonate with Kim so hard when you’re trying to people please all the different departments and yet somehow you’re over them all. Nothing like being in charge of everything and yet somehow you still have to answer to everyone because of that woke nonsense
Having worked in, and been done over by goverment beaurocracies of all levels, as much as I enjoy the writing and acting, I find I get a PTSD reaction to Utopia and just want to throttle somebody!
Just find the code for your dvd player and make it region free so that you can pay the disks. Usually simple enough to enter a code it's all software controlled not hardware.
I’ve never seen this show (looks good), so maybe regular viewers know, but these folks they want to sack… do they ever talk to them about their deficiencies before the whole “we need to get rid of her” bit? I know these characters are supposed to seem like the rational ones, but this seems like an absolute terrible place to work. Sure, HR is a nightmare in this, but the supervisors seem to be on a firing hair-trigger without addressing the problems with employee before jumping to shit-canning. Again, I’ve only seen clips so there’s likely a lot I’m missing.
