everyone is talking about natah, lotus, and margulis. but no one is talking about holographic space mom. holo-space mom: "Tenno. a new mi- *bzzzzt* -ssion is a-a-available."
A person on the Subreddit had a great insight, at least in my opinion, on the decision: it feels a bit like an echo of the decision you make at the climax of the Sacrifice (Wrath, Acceptance or Emptiness). Natah takes the memory of what's been done to her and uses it to fuel her, refusing to let her trauma change who she is. Lotus accepts that she has indeed changed from her experiences, and they can be moved on from, while Margulis lets go of whatever meanings others assigned to Margulis' image and memory, making it her own and finding peace in that clean slate. All of them are valid ways to recover from the kind of trauma bothe she and Umbra suffered at Ballas' hands.
Exactly for this reason ("what you want to be") i chose Margulis as imo that was who she aspired to be and the Lotus was just some "middle of the road stop" she ended up at.
I chose Lotus because I think she chose to be the lotus. Everyone keeps cramming lies into her so she is who they want her to be. I went with who she chose to be.
I kinda see this point but disagree in that lotus is her identity that is still build on false foundation it is her way to hide her true identity (Being a Sentient) and trying to be like something who she isint (Margulis). I chose Natah becouse it symbolise her true self untainted by lies and perception she is a Sentient, doughter of Hunhow, sister of Erra. Chosing Natah imo is chosing a fresh start. Only by acepting this she can move forward and maybe later become something that is trully her.
@@vladpw123 except the purpose of having an identity is to choose what that identity is. For her, if she choose to be the lotus, that is the true identity for her because that is how she sees herself. So I agree with the Op. Now I can see some may prefer Natah or M. But in terms of chosen identity, that is the lotus.
@@Leo619858 well the fact that she is hesitant in which identity to chose shows that she is not so sure in lotus. My idea that by accepting being Match she can later chose her own identity.
The way I look at is is that Margulis is dead and I think she should be allowed to rest. Natah well I draw the line at trying to get the Tenno killed. Lotus is the one that was there for the Tenno since they woke up and even before that so I think I have to go with that. Though I will say one thing that I think most of us can agree on. It's nice that Space Mom is back after all this time.
Natah was a weapon of war who was used her entire life. Margulis is a false persona created by Ballas in his twisted depravity. She chose to become the Lotus and care for the Tenno as her children after ballas tried to control her. She always wanted to have children and never could as natah, as she is a sentient. Lotus gives her the freedom of being her own person while leaving behind her life as natah that in a way was a curse. I never saw her as being happy when she was natah, nor when she was forced to become margulis because of ballas. The only time she seemed happy was when she was the lotus and had her children, the Tenno.
I chose Natah since that is who she truly is. the other two are mixed with a lie or the full lie. Also alignment is weird since this chose is based on you want her to embrace who she is fully or a part of the lie she was forced to live since the tenno's attachment or the Lotus born from a lie but from Natah free will. But I say this she called us her friend I don't feel right having her as anything else. But I'm willing to spend plat to change the model since it's ugly as duck.
they helped us, because they would've died. even before hunnow, he could have killed us, and erra tried to enslave origin system as much as ballas, i can't forgive that. for natah, she tried to kill us too.. Lotus is the first being that talked to us.. and margulis is pure love.. tough choice..
i think the sentient side looks sooo creepy, margulis is nice because you can see the full human side of her. and you have the old lotus if you want to. but i think humans looks a bit boring in warframe. if you choose the lotus you have the old look and pretty much a lotus prime look.,this one has the less change but is good for nostalgia.
Reading the replies and comments has me absolutely TORN. I've spent the entire day today doing the quest and I was hoping for a more concrete insight into who to choose but this isn't helping at alp
That's me. I've been at the option screen for hours trying to look into which one to go for and come to a decision. I'm swaying between Natah and Lotus
I chose Natah on the technicality of it being her birth name (plus in my opinion, the coolest sounding name and coolest looking skin, besides the eidolon skin, but I have to buy that one, so I don't have it yet)
I'd personally pick lotus bc I ain't used to diff lotus skins, lotus is probably the best choice bc she is the calmest fucking skin there, natah is probably gonna remind you how she tried to kill you and margulis is probably gonna remind you how she "kissed" ballas, nobody liked that scene so yep I'll definitely just leave it for lotus, + she is space mom after all
Margulis chose death over compliance with evil. Her courage gave us all we have; every life we save, every soul we free, every evil we defeat we owe to her choice. Margulis' voice it must be, immortal symbol of what we all aspire to - to be the force that saves, protects, nurtures and uplifts.
Lotus just feels like the obvious choice (also I've been going for a neutral operator so yea) Lotus just feels like the lesser of 2 evils in all honesty since the Lotus is who was the person she wanted to be in the beginning and it's what brought balance in a way
Margulis - already dead Lotus - A mimick, a spy, brainwashed sentient that was sended to destroy Orokin and tenno but she don't wanted to do it..(sorry english is not my primary language and I forget few things :) ) Natah - her true self Well the choice is obvious..

Kinda black and white the way you think, OP.. but ok :D (Maybe dig a bit deeper on the lore and personalities etc.) BUT, ofc its great that DE made it possible for players to make this choice. Everyone has their own perspective and choise on the matter.
@@StatchanaReborn Margulis, as Teshin said, sought to “erase” the tenno- likely regarding their trauma and power. Their power is likely needed for what's to come. While the Lotus has always had our safety at heart, she has repeatedly shown us dishonesty- even abandoning us in our times of need, to save face. Natah has yet to be an ally and hold the most potential...
(Ik I’m late and all but still) This is where the one mistake will forever haunt me. For context I wanted to pick lotus but I picked margulis due to design (note I didn’t knew you can change said design with silver at the time) but when I found out you could buy it with silver regret went up quickly. Then newwar became replayable. “Is this the chance where I erase my mistake?” I told myself. So I replayed it hoping I could. But oh how cruel DE can be it did not work at all. And now here I am. Still waiting for the day where I can change it.
finally found the time to play this quest after 8 months i started the game 😅 i choose Natah just for the name, heard that it's the only thing that permanently binded with your account. not sure about the voice thou. 😮
Tbh "Lotus" always felt more like a title, at least to me. "For the Lotus" sounds like "For the Emperor" or "For the Alliance". Then again, it might be just me
Well, it does make sense, considering that in warframe, there's Lotus the individual, and Lotus the organization (the one from.which rescue targets belong to, they're the organization that runs the relays.) So really, the line is speaking for the organization called the Lotus.
I chose Natah. And then gave her the Eidolon skin. She's awesome. And known but kinda... Fresh? It doesn't sound good but for the lack of better words I'll go with it. Lotus was with me for more than 2k hours so... It's really nice change. Margulis for the other hand feels kinda... Wrong. D:
I've said this on other videos, and I'll say it again here. I would never pick Margulis, it's the worst choice. I refuse to give in to Ballas' twisted views and force her to be someone she's not. I picked Natah for one simple reason: it's who she truly is. She doesn't need to hide behind the mask of the Lotus anymore, nor will she be shackled to undertaking the identity of a dictator's dead wife that he obsessively can't move on from.
This is stupid due to one thing. In regards to the plot and story, YOU are not making the choice. She makes the choice, in which case… what WE chose is what SHE wants.
There is a long term difference, we get the skin from the one we choose. I mean it is longterm if u dont plan on buying all the others ofc. So its nice to know what we actually picking

Tge fact u cant change the name is really dumb i wanted to pick natah but i really liked marguils design but on release i didnt know u could change skins i realy hope DE let u change the name at some point even if its a one time thing starting missions n seeing the name its just a bummer sometimes
torn between natah and the lotus. on one hand natah is her original personality who went in and infiltrated the orokin to kill them all but she was later captured by ballas and was reprogrammed to become the lotus. but I think the reprogramming was a little to accurate that Lotus(brainwashed natah) chose to save the tenno as margulis did. tbf natah did have a prior directive of killing us but was corrupted by ballas tampering with natah making her more margulis than natah. on the other hand lotus was basically just natah brainwashed by ballas to be margulis or atleast his idea of margulis. both are personalities born of experience and not imprints. which is why I don't have margulis in the list because.. margulis is dead what the margulis personality is, is the shadow of her former self imprinted by ballas on natah. I might just chose natah instead of the lotus because the lotus is the personality made by ballas to serve his needs. and screw that slimy balls. Edit: might buy the margulis skin tho heh.
"You can be whoever you want, its your choice" We choose for her... Devs should have made it a random choice that picked without interference from the player. That would have been best imo.
FML! I'm looking up what to choose since I'm so split! I'm mostly split because of the alignment and since I've been wanting to kill the lotus and her lies for ages! I've been a MASSIVE supporter of killing her as some sort of final option but now since I'm a massive supporter of the neutral alignment as well I need to stay neutral for this even though I like Natah!
iChose Natah becuz that is her beautiful truth. She hid behind Lotus to deceive everyone and eventually believed the lie herself. Now everyone is awake and fighting for what they believe in.
So, i choose a drifter for the run for the fresh start without all this edgy tenno drama, it's time to grown up kiddo. And it was perfectly logical to choose Natah, drifter don't know Margulis, neither Lotus, but he is knew who this woman he saved - sentient Natah.
I chose Margulis. Not only cause she looks good af😂🤣 but because it makes me feel like I took a bad chick from a man that treated her like sh1t 🤣😂. Wtf is wrong with me 😂🤣
She did say that there were voices potentionaly being all 3 personas what we choose isnt who she is but who leads the 3 together I chose lotus because more of who she chooses to be when she fully powers up again the helmet that was put on natah is not on her it's in our orbiter she takes the form of the lotus when she returns and can seem to switch and the lotus form she takes has more sentient like design unlike her original with cables that may have been restricted that of her she is Natah but she takes the form now as the lotus she mimics more margulus for the tenno but she is not the Archimedean margulus she is Natah as her orgin but now she isn't that person anymore middle ground she doesn't deny any sides of her lotus leads all the pieces of her as we are all different throughout our lives she remembers who she was as Natah but she is not that person anymore and she is not margulis she does take on the aspect of her for the tenno her she is a sentient showing in the new war her rage until she sees her children the tenno like the drifter said she chose the tenno she is a sentient daughter of hunhow but she chooses to go be the lotus no control no lies or tricks even seen the sentient and human aspect put together she will not be hateful like other sentients or era she in a way will the Archimedean for sentients and tenno daughter of hunhow and mother of tenno hopefully we can see hunhow accept that she is his daughter but this is who she chooses to be now not a destroyer that she was in her youth this is who she became and it's not chosen for her her controlled or lies it's just her now even if maybe it will be hard for him to accept it at first but later on in story he will have accepted it completely and help the tenno against the man in the wall sentients and tenno were both weapons of the orokin that turned against them they were put against one another theyre hatred to one other was created and setup by the orokin and hunhow showed us that there is potential of good in him at least for his daughter that is now the lotus the form Natah is her past like a picture of your schoolbook like that bad kid delinquent who became a good working part of society citizen well that's just my opinion of it anyway
