Such perfection of movement! Such style and grace and energy . The lines are beautiful!! Just watching this performance made me emotional . She is the BEST ballerina I have ever seen perform. I just love her!
beautiful dance. Fantastic Natalia! When watching her dancing I fall in love with her, and with her ballet performances. Only Anastasia and her husband give me similar emotions. Anastasia is natural in her feminine classic elegance.
She is very light and pretty, and seems to be having fun (which is so important to Coppelia). Love to see it when dancers can put a little dancing into Act 2; as it can get almost too pantomimed. She does, however, seem a little ahead of the music. I like the big way the Russians do Coppelia; but I also like it when dancers can make the Franz-Swanhilda-Dr Coppelius-doll relationships have a little depth. It seems to me that part of the magic of the story is comedy with a bit of pathos: a bit of lovers being uncertain and a bit hurt, and of a lonely old man in love with a fantasy. I like it when Swanhilda realizes in the end that maybe she has gone too far..; and drops the archness for a moment of empathy for the old guy, whose dream she has crushed. It's all in the wonderful music, and there is a French feeling for character nuance that is important to cherish and retain.
What? She is reportedly 5'6", not so petite for a woman. She is also a serious dancer who works unbelievably hard at her craft. She makes it look like mere fun, though, because she's so skillful.
@@Angela-vl8yw She it's true what you mentioned. I just think that the person commenting meant that it feels good to finally see a dancer who actually loves ballet and dances with joy on her face despite the endless hard work she puts into it.
No, her arches are just flat so it looks like she isn't turned out properly (in comparison to most famous ballerinas). You see the same with Kochetkova and Fonteyn where it looks like they sickle but aren't
