Natalie Anne Merchant is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She joined the alternative rock band 10,000 Maniacs in 1981 and left it to begin her solo career in 1993.
I cannot think of any female singer songwriter whose hypnotic lyrics and soft vulnerable voice coincide perfectly with her natural physical appeal. You can't help but get happy when she performs!
This is from "Come Together: A Night for John Lennon's Words and Music" ... a live event broadcast in 2001, meant to be a tribute for Lennon, but soon also became a tribute to 9/11 victims and New York City. It featured many artists and as others have stated before me... she stole the show with this beautiful rendition of 'Nowhere Man' ... good lord it is beautiful.
Can someone please pair Natalie and Seal on a duet? Please!! Any producers out there?? I'm begging....😂 Her interpretative style is so incredible and Seal is one of the best singers in the business. Would love to hear these legends paired up! Something original, not a cover!
A wonderful performance by the beautiful Natalie Merchant. One can only wonder what is going on in the minds of people who feel the need to describe this as horrible, and pity them.
My all time favorite group is still The Beatles and I have never been a big Natalie Merchant fan but she did big time justice to this song. I think it is a complement to the original and she made it her own as well. I agree, people who say this is horrible doesn't get it at all.
I am not nothing but a realist and have a god given gift for recognition of a truly talented lyrically and musicianship. This woman has it all and is truly the kind of woman the world could use a few more of
Salvador, essa musica é dos Beatles e foi lançada em 1965. Sua letra é realmente um poema e parece atual. Salve os Beatles e quem os canta com tanta emoção!
No where man the way you played it reminded me of someone close there is many no where man woman and child this relates to may god be by your side look up not down take warmth knowing you stand a chance in life like any other walk on
Don't worry, lol.. the greatest hippie of ever. Usually I say this because she's the greatest stage dancer and just fkn Nat. A long time ago, Nat said (she has been a friend for 35 years, we didn't have grey/gray hair.) Play something that hit u hard. I was all hey member the Beatles girl. Here's one. Later much later she covered to sit with love out of the blue. Hit me harder. Always 💜 Natalie Merchant.
One of the most beautiful, sad , and understated performances I've seen in my 63 yrs on this planet. I shed tears for those who never tasted victory or gave a damn.
She stole the show that night, I thought. Her phrasing is very emotional. I only wish Lennon could have seen this. I know he would have liked her heartfelt timbre...
Daniel I couldn't of said any better than you . Tears are running down my face right now as see has always done to make my life more bearable . The heck with all you negative haters out there!!
