He wasn't putting himself down. He is reviewing a product and he is not agreeing with how it looks on his skin. He is being very honest about the negative impact on his skin.

This is a beautiful product.... But definitely is up to how it is used and the placement of it. Doesn't necessarily mean the product is faulty. By all means, if you have perfect skin all over, then use it all over, otherwise, just be judicious on where best to use it and how. I think it was meant to be placed under foundation too, to give that glow from within look. The nauseous reaction was a bit much. I do appreciate the tip in the end to use it as localized highlighter, which is what I will be using this combo for anyway. Thanks for the review Wayne!!

I’m in my late 40’s with still very oily skin, and I really appreciate you reviewing these products from the oily skin people perspective. It’s really hard to find a good MUA in my age group who is honest and has oily skin reviewing products. BTW, I have your lipstick, face powder, eyeshadows, and a full set of your brushes, and they are AMAZING. Face powder is super finely milled and absorbs my facial oil instantly. Yes exactly, sometimes the actual base shade of a highlighter can be darker than the reflect creating a sort of dark cast on the skin. This is technically how many duochrome eyeshadow shades are created.
I’ve had oily/ greasy skin since my teens , I’m now 70. I avoid all the glowy/dewy products because it just looks like Ive just got out of the shower. Yuk ! I was horrified by these new products,😳😂🤣definitely not for me. Thanks Wayne 💕
I just put mine on this morning before I saw your RU-vid and I was very shiny and it did accentuate some parts of my face I didn’t want to accentuate. …I totally agree that it would be a good highlighter and that’s what I’m now gonna use it for lol…
I don’t think it’s necessarily for all over the face unless you want an editorial look. It’s a normal highlighter meant to be applied on high points, it just happens to be skin-colored rather than the typical colored gold/champagne/pink highlights, so it’s more like a skin glaze. It can be diffused if you want more of a natural look. to tone it down, just use a lighter hand, pick up less product and use a fluffier brush
It' s an amazing unique combo for a bloody specific target. The percentage of "western" population who *want & can* wear this is very very scarce. Clearly, a product created for the C-J-K market. Too much of a grease ball look, like if the sun hit your face you might blind someone with the reflection. I can get the same result straight up using organic coconut butter! It’s an easy pass for me. I enjoyed your review Wayne-You’re not shit Dollface, you’re gorgeous and funny.❤

I wish all this glass skin and dewy products were not the thing. I am 63 have crazy oily skin and yes a few wrinkles I think it is dumb to attempt a 20 year olds look on my older skin. I am who I am don’t follow a lot of trends I do what I enjoy am comfortable with and don’t look like something I am not. Love your videos have been praying daily for the person you take care of. As a care giver we can lose ourselves and be such a giver that we forget about ourselves. Please take time to care for you and live in the moment with your husband tomorrow is not promised. I am glad for your good day. All the days are hard I admire your dedication and your love for this person. Make sure you check in with you, you need to be supported and given a break don’t feel guilty when it gets to be overwhelming. I spent my final years in the work force as a certified nursing assistant I did not take my own advice. I ended up having a stroke which I had an angel their I do not suffer in a diminished capacity however it was discovered that I have a rare type of epilepsy it is difficult to treat but I am ok. I gave too much to the people I took care of I do not regret that for one minute if I helped their day that is all that mattered. You have not chosen an easy route but you have chosen one you will never regret. Take care reach out I will be there.
😂😂 I came to say it’s giving “tin man vibes” lol. I put on the ELF Whoa Glow sunscreen the other day and same thing 😳 I figured no big deal I’m covering it with foundation anyway. Well the two did NOT play nice together and I felt like my complexion looked a mess all day 🤦♀️ lesson learned! Try products together at home when you’re not going anywhere and don’t care to see how they work together lol
Wayne! Don’t say no one watches you. When I need to know or understand something about makeup you are the only person/channel I can rely on for knowledge..😊 I have extremely oily skin and have tried and tossed out so many bronzers. I’ve finally decided bronzers just don’t work for me.😢
Hi Wayne, I agree with you not for me, with my oily,mature skin I feel it would exaggerate wrinkles and textures on my face (56 Yrs old ,Tin Man VIBES) I think this product is good for younger age groups or someone with Botox . Love Katherine xoxo

It's good for early teens who are blessed with flawless skin. After that it's like a klieglight on things you'd rather not be displaying. Yes for interest spots, but not the whole face. I like the alien comment, though. Excellent for mermaid/merman costumes come October! Can you imagine stencil on some scales, then this for the sheen? 😍
It looks like you just ran a mile or had a work out. It’s a little bit unnatural looking for day to day wear but I can see these being for makeup artists who work on photo shoots with certain themes. It’s also , imho, overpriced.

I admit I was drawn in by this product. ND herself looks fabulous in the video where she demos this and I love glass skin. Unfortunately it isn't a flattering look over 40 with wrinkles.😢
I put it underneath foundation and concealer and I like the reflectivity it gives my Uncle Fester grade dark circles. Idk, maybe it looks crazy in natural light! 😅
Please excuse my ignorance but my concern is would it get hard pan if u keep using the liquid product directly onto the pan? I really like the serum primer under foundation, but the new product is too much...I prefer cream or stick highlighters over powder to minimize texture so it's not something I was in the market for anyway, but I'm kind of waiting for this whole metallic face trend to die back down to a bit of natural glow - my skin is on the drier side, so that tiny bit of glow helps. The primer, though, is lovely (not on its own).
Its not for me as well. To be real not a lot of people have that perfect skin to wear this as a powder. Even youngers. It feels like it’s made just for beauty bloggers for rewiews.

I only use an illuminator like the 18 from Cle de Peau (don't know why they stopped this colour) or sometimes a blush and highlighter in one product, but not to loud, and the last thing i would do, to put it all over my face!
