You look beautiful in this, but I wonder how many looks you can get from it. It reminds me of Spontini Lillies by YSL, and I really love the YSL quad formula. Nothing is creamier. It also reminds of the old ABH Soft Glam palette (which I decluttered years ago). And Viseart Apricotine. Not to mention Lisa's Cinnibar. So I'm solidly on the fence. She blindsided me with two neutral palettes in a row. In past years she's done one neutral and one more bold and creative. I skipped Golden because I have her original Gold. So I'm still trying to figure out if I need this. Thanks for the video.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty it was. And than you for the way you use shadows. And that you keep natural lashes. It probably works for some to elongate the eyes by placing eye shadows on the temple ( I don’t know how to explain what I mean)but the majority of cases if not all look so outdated. I just don’t understand where this attachment comes from. Thank you for keeping make up modern! I’m 48 and it’s really refreshing to see you don’t duplicate the 80s. If you know what I mean. Sorry for typo if there’s any. I’ve taken contacts off and don’t see very well.
I reallllllly wish Natasha would offer refills for eyeshadows. I have 2 shades from Glam that I adore and honestly all I want !! LOVEDDD the comparisons. Such a helpful informative video Sophia. Thank you👏🫶👍
@@YeliMe I agree! If companies want to be more environmentally conscious I think the refills makes sense. Why bother making the holes in the back other than to swap shades around.
Thank you for including the comparison with the viseart palettes. Everybody is comparing the new palette to the i need a nude, glam and gold. But it is obvious that this one is peachier.
My palette arrived at my PO Box today and I can’t wait to pick it up tomorrow! Personally, I’m very excited for this “boring” palette. So far, I’ve never been able to justify a ND palette because there’s only a couple of shades I would actually wear. I own the golden and now this one and I’m very happy. Not all of us are RU-vidrs and influencers and some of us require “boring” palettes for every day life. I resent the term boring, I think “everyday” is a better description, but I can’t wait to pick mine up tomorrow!
I love that it’s a muted warm. I am neutral/warm but really intense warm tones (RED!) are way too much for me. I also prefer irritant free metallics vs glitters. And boring, which illicts no anxiety when I’m running late (again!) I will be waiting for a 20% off, though. Great review, and comparisons as always! I think you nailed your analysis. This is her less expensively put together palette, that’s consumer friendly, that will fund the next palette.
I’m loving the second look you did! The trio chrome looks exactly like I was hoping. Wearable and soft and pretty. I never went to indie brands for those duo chrome shadows because although striking and pretty to look at in swatches I never felt like they were flattering on the eyes. This palette looks like a softer warmer version of I need a Nude palette.
I think ND is killing it. I only have 3 of her midis, Glam, I Need a Nude, & Xenon. I didnt purchase Gold & I won't buy this one as it leans too peach for me, but I love that she's giving everyone an option if they so choose. It's a smart marketing model that gives consumers the option to customise their palettes which no other main stream brand with a quality product is doing.
What I love about her pallets is is takes the guess work out. They are laid out where you can use four colors that are laid out like a quad. Or use 3 in a row.
I don't reach for warm tones a lot but I think this is perfect for me, more neutral but still warm and I think this is what Im gonna get instead golden palette
I myself am so excited about both of her recent launches. I got the gold one and am getting this one too. I love everyday neutral warm tones and ever since Bobbi Brown discontinued her eyeshadow I’ve been a ND fan!
Excellent analysis of this palette, Sofia! I liked how you broke down the swatches into their consistencies. The two looks you created looked very nice. I just got my palette and am looking forward to working with it. I think having both the I Need a Nude and I Need a Warm gives a good balance of options. I also like when you showed this with other palettes. Nicely done. thank you.
I feel like the different iterations of neutral palettes, slightly cool, slightly warm, etc. are actually a great addition to her line and the overall market. When I started out looking for great neutral palettes that complement my skin tone, it was really difficult to find anything that wasn't too warm or too cool. So I am honestly glad someone makes these more nuanced, comprehensive neutral palettes now! I think it will be a palette with longevity as a longtime favorite and bestseller, like I need a nude. Like biba was before that, although for me Biba is too warm, too matte and I really don't need grey OR that insane amount of product, whatsoever! So honestly, although these are not the most exciting to look at, they have the potential to become workhorses, they have what it takes to become someone's only eyeshadow palette or their favorite neutral palette. So I think there's still value in bringing out beautiful neutral palettes and improving on formula and making it more modern and less thick, like her older formulas. I'm so curious to swatch these as soon as it comes into German stores!
I’m so excited about this one! I think ND is giving us options based on skin tones. For instance, I need a nude looked terrible on me and I had to sadly return it. I feel like she sees us and has provided an a new option that can work better.
I haven't got any time for complicated looks anymore so these basic palettes are what I look for. I've been using the Golden palette everyday, can't wait to have this one too ❤
In the midis I own Glam, Nude, Retro, Xenon and Yucca. I'm not big on warm tones and peaches, so this one is a pass for me. I love Natasha Denona because I believe she listens to feedback from beauty lovers, and she tries to offer a variety. Most of all I love how the midi palettes can be customized. This keeps me coming back to the brand for eyeshadow! 😍
I literally paused this because my palette was delivered and I had to play with it immediately. Love, love, love-I’m fair like you and always went for cool tones, but it turns out that warm tones suit me better and don’t make me look as dead. 💀😂 Leaning into my warm era, appreciate the review! 🎉
This totally isn’t for me but I’m happy for anyone that gets joy from this palette 🫶🏼 I have the Lorac Soleil palette and THAT palette…mm mm…that is a warm summer dream palette. Truly checks all the boxes for me when it comes to “needing” a warm palette lol
Another great video with novel insights! I will probably purchase this palette at some point - not in any kind of rush. I bought INAN last week. It looks lovely, but I too prefer her more colorful launches.
I wouldn’t give you a thumbs down for not agreeing with you, I still value an opinion that is different from mine. I love all the neutral palettes. I think most people wear neutrals everyday, especially if you don’t live in the bigger cities where it might be more common or accepted. Just my opinion, I think people should wear whatever they feel good in, color, neutral, whatever makes you happy.
Thank you for saving me money. May be next year when it goes on sale, I might think about buying it. I am so content with INAN even as a warm/neutrals lover. The formulas in that palette are unbeatable.
Mine is supposedly being delivered today and now I’m even more excited … I’m going to combine it with the golden palette all together in a larger palette to create my ideal everyday to night neutral warm palette just like I did with I need a nude, midi glam and xenon to get my ideal cool-neutral everyday to night palette 😀😃
I sold all my Natasha Denona palettes. I just realized that I like smaller palettes that offer more varied looks. Her midis have so many similar colors so the overall looks are always kind of the same.
I think she does that to make them more user friendly for the average consumer. I am with you though, I have found a new appreciation for my smaller palettes
I don’t mind all the neutral palettes. I don’t think everyone needs every neutral palette, but it is good to have lots of options depending on their own preferences and coloring. I have peachy undertones, and I am so excited about this. A lot of cool tones look too icy on me, and a lot of golds look too yellow. I’m sure I’m not the only one looking for their Goldilocks neutral palette. I probably wouldn’t have bought the Golden palette or INAN if I had known this was coming though.
Great review, as someone with a deeper skintone, I hope ND comes out with a neutral midi palette with more depth suitable for me. I saw this palette in store, and while it's beautiful it just does not have enough depth.
I took out the greys and other shades that are redundant to me in the INAN palette, I added a few from the Glam Face Light but I have room for the best shades from this palette in there too 👍 I just need to use up a shade so I can repress a brow bone colour and add it to my perfect everyday palette 🤩
I’m convinced she will keep on here and there launching more colorful and creative pallets. I’m a 50 year old with a office job. When I ware a nude with few shimmer palette from Natasha, I’m already the most out there person in the whole company 😂
About more colorful eyeshadow palettes I did notice she filed for Bloom and Roxa which means purple in Portuguese? Im hoping for a wearable purple palette! I'm on an eyeshadow no buy excluding Natasha Denona lol. It's the only brand I alow myself to splurge on for eyeshadow pallets and she's making me very happy with that decision ☺️
It’s not orange!! I will say, Golden was the perfect undertone everyday “I need a nude” for my light olive undertone. I don’t need these mattes. I have them 50 times over including Biba…but the shimmers! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I can see using Dynsmism and adding some Bronze Seduction VR Fire Opal special shade on top to accentuate the green and a little bit of the single Jade Facetté . 😍 I like having options. I want to be able to use both smooth metallics and super sparkly shades depending on how I feel. I’m glad she included both. I can also see using some of the glittery shades from Dior Saint-Honoré on top of these looks, too, if I want more glitter. I also like that there are some lighter warm mattes here (unlike Biba). Do I NEED this? No. Absolutely not. But I think I’d like to get it for Fall. It would be fun! I can also see putting shades from INAN, Golden, and INAW in a palette would be the perfect travel palette for me!
Of all the videos I’ve watched so far, yours is the one where this palette looks the least « apricot » and more interesting. This said, I think I will just have to wait to see it in store to be sure of the color and compare it in person with the golden (which I am also interested in) and the inan (which I own). These colors are all pretty but similar so it’s hard to buy online, even if your video helps a bit.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty I think I’m going to like this trio chrome …. I didn’t like the one in my dream not because of quality I just didn’t care for that particular color shift on me personally so I’m looking forward to playing with this one 😀
The neutrals is what most people want. I am a neutral girl. The only reason I am not getting this one is because I have all those shades in other palettes and the multichromes that I have from Clionadh are simply the best. However this palette is gorgeous!
Thank you Sofia! Your review was so accurate! Do I like it = oh Yes! Do I need it? = No. Will I buy it?= Probably 😂 I think she tries not to repeat herself but give her clients mostly what they would buy without any "guilt" as long as every shade will be much used. 😊
I think you’re right about the neutral trend, I mean the Urban Decay Naked palette just relaunched for crying out loud. For the most part Natasha is the only eyeshadow brand I’m buying right now because that’s what I’m reaching for. The quality is consistent and reliable and I can always make use of most of the shades. They are great companion palettes for each other if you like to mix and match. I purchased this one but haven’t used it yet as I haven’t had the time to sit down and play, but I’m happy to add this one to my collection. I have to say, when her newer neutral palettes come out and I have to make room, the more colorful ones that I don’t reach for as often go in the drawer, and the neutral ones stay on top of the desk.
Quality over quantity, and correct hers is great quality and I’m OK with the neutral “boring” at least I will use it everyday. And these boring neutrals give great options to others who want a more peachy/ rosy/ taupey/ browny/ golden neutrals. So I guess they’re not boring to the many women afterall who don’t care for other color story anymore. It isn’t groundbreaking, yes, but her formula is great that’s why people keep buying them. That’s good! The Yucca from last year I think I can finish that palette even though it is a more adventurous palette than her neutral palettes. ❤
I loved to watch this, and love how honest you are about this palette, really ALL your thoughts, i appreciate that so much about you, dear Sofia!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 The colours look stunning on you!!! Would i try this one, i think not too orange, and beautiful! I think, what you say, Natasha sees the trends, i mean, the inflation, everything getting more expensive, and people saying, enough makeup, smart of her to come with gorgeous neutral palettes! I decluttered everything Natasha Denona/Pat McGRath/Sydney Grace 2 years ago as my eyes became more sensitive than, Sofia. Begin this year, i purchased a mini very neutral 5 pan, the mini dream it's called i believe. This one goes good on my eyes! And also an eyeshadow palette which has also blush and bronzer, that one also goes good on my eyes, the shadows. But in general, it's a risk, these type of palettes. I purchased the CT 9 pan palette last year, the mattes were a dream, the shimmers/glitters really terrible, my eyes hurted 2 days because the glitter particles were terrible on my eyes, and also to remove! Conclusion: Pat McGrath still has a terrible formula for me, Sydney Grace the same, Natasha Denona, that is a question, Sofia, she changes her formula's quite often! I would love to see a video about formula's, but maybe that's too boring for you, or a short or something on Insta, maybe, when you have time? I can watch more reviews, i will maybe a few, but what i love about you and your Channel, you're down to earth and honest, super honest but also the knowledge, my skintone is a only a little deeper, i'm older, i'm 54, but i love love love how you explain and demonstrate for us! BIt long, sorry, but i know you read our comments, it's amazing how you do all this kind of info in spreadsheets etc, so, i thought, i write how i feel about it! Wishing you a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
Was so excited for the Golden and then the Warm palette, and they are my only ND palettes because they have the largest number of shades I would actually wear. I love warm shades and I can never justify spending $70 on a palette when I would only actually use 3-4 shades. I’m actually sadly disappointed in both of them. The Golden is way more olive toned and lighter in depth than the swatches and promo photos depicted and I also find that the Warm palette is olive too. My mattes are really dusty and not pigmented. They are patchy on me as well, as is the Golden. Maybe it’s just me but I was really looking forward to these “boring” palettes because not all of us are influencers with creative eye looks. Some of us need “boring” palettes of great quality for our every day life and I personally think this was a great move. Sadly, the formula and the depth of the shades just aren’t wowing me, so maybe I need to try the Bronze but I’m a bit disappointed in these.
I love ND. I don’t buy every palette. I did buy Nude, but will skip Gold and Warm. I bought Xenon, but held off until a big sale. I don’t mind. It is nice that she has something for everyone.
I am new to the Beautyverse/world of eyeshadow, and have yet to purchase an ND palette! I have my eye on the Glam palette for the holidays. This one is too warm for me (I'm fair with pink coloring & need cooler tones). I'm also waiting for I Need a Rose to be released in a midi palette, which I have heard is coming. I'm learning so much from your videos, Sofia - thank you for all the amazing content!😍💄💅
My favorite fun palette from her was the pastel palette followed by retro - glam and yucca which I combined for one big green palette then took the pinks from retro glam and added the, to the midi retro color story 😀
Your review is so thorough and thoughtful. I feel like this palette (although a great formula) is somewhat repetitive with her other palettes and I tend to stay away from warm tones. I have her Glam, I Need a Nude, and Xenon Palettes. I am going to wait and see if she does a taupe or very cool leaning palette (maybe with some pastels or camouflage type green).
OMG I FINALLY HAVE IT YOU HAVE THE SAME VOICE AND ACCENT AS ANNE HATHAWAY I was doing the dishes while watching your video and everytime I’m not watching the screen I hear her !!!! Hahahaha hope I don’t come off as a weirdo it’s a compliment
Thank you for your neutral review of this palette! I did think about buying it, but decided not to because I already have INAN and prefer neutral to cooler tone eyeshadows. Not really a big fan of warm eyeshadow anymore. While it's certainly pretty, I feel like most of us already have these colors in our collection.
I have those Viseart palettes you showed which is why I am skipping this ND palette but it’s very me! I also have the mini zendo and ND’s coral palette so I think I am good with this color story.
I like both looks with this pallette. I think you can make any pallette look great even when its just so-so. Thank you. Saving my $ for my Chanel goodies!
I think I’ll still pick this up but I agree that I wish it had a bit more Paris love letter with a couple of pops of color or some different finishes to make it a bit more exciting. I bought and like the INAN palette but I’ve not used it as much as my more inspiring palettes so I’m a bit nervous this would be the same; however, this is my color story too. I’ve still not picked up the bronze because I feel like it’s too medium toned for me. I do wish Natasha had included one deeper much warmer matte here if I really wanted to go warm. I actually kinda want the bronze to mix this into now😂
I think that minxette is a more sophisticated palette with more options to add bronze and eggplant tones. The ND palettes have gotten rather glittery. This palette does give more options for a lighter toned look however
You’re definitely right that buying these neutral palettes doesn’t help us get colorful ones, but I just love her eyeshadows so much, and the ability to make custom palettes, I have to have all of the ones that will work on me! 😅 Honestly though, if I don’t order it (which I did immediately as soon as I could get a pre-release link to it on her website to use my loyalty cash) then everyone else is still going to order it… boycotts of one person really don’t work! When you were talking about how people say they aren’t into the colorful palettes you show… the Chanel colorful fall quad is 4 colors straight out of triochrome and maybe the mustard from the original gold… so sad triochrome doesn’t exist anymore now 😢 that is my favorite but I can literally make that quad with a z-palette and my ND shadows so that is the only reason I am not getting it.
I already ordered this but I'm now having regrets because this looks really peachy. From the promos i was thinking that the matte browns would be richer and deeper. I also was hoping there would be a taupe metallic and a really nice sparkling topper like from INAN. INAN is my fave ND palette even though I'm medium tan... It seems to have the perfect undertone and the shimmers are absolutely stunning.
Loved your final thoughts! Here’s some great commercial thinking. As for the palette, I love the look of it and I’m a fan of ND so I am considering getting it. However, this is I need a peach and these peachy tones esp the matte ones aren’t flattering on olive skin tones and I’m a green as it gets 😂. So there’s a hesitation. Maybe I’ll just have to see it in person first. She has pulled out of Selfridges and Harrods in the UK and with one Sephora store in the city, seeing her products in person is getting harder and harder though.
Decluttered all my ND palettes besides INAN, Dream, Gold. The formulas are outdated IMO. This looks like a less impressive version of a Patrick Ta palette but very pretty
Does anyone see the similarities between this palette and the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette? I have the Naked Heat, but wanted this one too. Although I think I do not need it as it looks like almost 90% the same color story, anyone else agree?
I actually still have my old Naked Heat (I keep it for the memories lol) and that one is very much more of an old school warm palette. It has more red and orange tones
@@SofiaSeesBeauty Sofia and what is the ND one, orange and brown tones? Looks almost rose gold to me. I’m waiting for it to come in the Sephora near me so I can swatch it.
I think, first me, I’m more selective about what I buy because I have so many palettes. I used to have the idea to “collect” certain brands makeup. Now I see how unrealistic and excessive that is. There is no way you could ever use it, and storage becomes unmanageable. I buy what I know I will wear on a regular basis instead of everything.
You do the most helpful reviews! Your lighting and the way you break down the shades by formula, and the two different demos are awesome. Interesting you brought up the solstice and Paris love letter palettes … they’re two of my most used palettes and I wouldn’t have thought they were similar to this at all at first glance. Would you pick those palettes over the ND INAW, or would you reach for this over them?
Between this one and the gold that just came out last month, do you have a preference? This one is intriguing to me-I’ve had the Bronze from her for about 6 years! I ordered it when it first came out… it’s still useable, but a lot of the tones are similar.. still love it, but I’m glad I didn’t get the Gold palette from her yet.. I want to. see them both in person, first, I think/. They are both right up my alley but I sure don’t need both.. I really like the 2nd look you did best *it really gives your eyes a sparkle~! -the first was very pretty, too.
@@SofiaSeesBeauty gotcha - I had to do chores and decided I would watch the rest tomorrow & I will💜thanks 💙 couldn’t wait- watched the rest just now! Really excellent review! TY
Excellent review and the comparisons to Viseart were so helpful as I have quite a few of those as well as the ND Biba, INAN, and Glam palettes. Do "I Need A Warm Palette?" No. But I can see myself reaching for this one on an everyday basis for work or a running out the door. It gives me Charlotte Tilbury vibes. Does anyone have a comparison of both? I most likely will end up getting it during the holiday sales.
It’s a beautiful palette and very much her style, but I’d feel like I’d buy duplicates, not a new palette. I can see how she’s ramping up on the basics and I think that’s a good business move. Basic, functional makeup is just what sells during a time of multiple crises. I think there’s going to be a more exiting release towards the end of the year, that’s when she’s usually doing some fan service. I’m curious what the Christmas collection will look like. Used the mini my dream today and it is hecking boring, but that’s all I wanted today.
I got the I need a warm pallet and to be honest, I don’t find the formula as nice as the Byredo Mineral Escape pallet or the Addiction Tokyo 15th Anniversary pallet. The powders are smooth but there’s something missing for me. Definitely don’t look as nice on my lids as on yours
I was so drawn to the copper brown shades in this pallet but they are not as pretty as I expected. I am so disappointed. The cool tone pallet of Byredo Mineral Escape looks much better on me.
I really like this release because its just warm enough without feeling too orange or yellow toned. As far as colorful and warmer palettes, I feel like all companies released more of them years ago, but have pulled back in recent years. This year by far ND had the most neutral color stories; 0 colorful or bold palettes 2023- 1 colorful palette trio-chrome mini, 1 semi colorful yucca midi (tamed with warm-neutral shadows), Zenon (bold, yet neutral) and 1 baby bronze 2022- 2 colorful: mini pastel and pastel midi, 1 semi colorful retro glam midi, mini bronze 2021- 3 colorful releases: mini metropolis, Zendo Midi, Circo Loco 15 pan 2020- Triochrome 15 pan, bronze midi 2019- MEtropolis, mini tropic, sunrise 15 pan On the bright side, October will mark her 10 year anniversary and I predict she will come out with a Metropolis 2 (the og. Metropolis was releaseon her 5 year anniversary). Also I wonder if she will size down the size of her palettes to keep things economical, as she has done before.
It's a bit of a bummer that her palettes are all warm or neutral leaning warm, except for the dreary grayscale Xenon one. I keep hoping for a truly cool or cool/neutral option from her, but this is definitely not it. It's getting hard to tell them apart at this point.
Hey Gail! If you like all matte shadows I highly recommend the ESUM palettes or the new Viseart anniversary palette that just launched. Very nice formulas
