I’ve drooled over the ND Pastel palette for awhile. But to be honest, I never thought I’d use it enough to warrant the nearly $70 price tag. I’m so happy Alter Ego duped it because as soon as I saw what your video was about I ordered Alter Ego’s version immediately. Of course I used your code to save the 10%, too and I don’t feel bad paying less than $30 (cost plus shipping). I must admit while the ND swatches seemed nicer, I’m sure the AE will work just fine, I loved the look you gave us and the shade you used on your lid was nothing short of stunning! I can’t wait to play with these colors! Our temps have been in the ‘80’s for over a week now, so spring colors and clothing are what everyone’s wearing. I always love watching your tutorials, Angela! Thanks for another fantastic video
This is a genius way to use these colors. I'm inspired to do my own duping of this look using similar shades I have in other palettes. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration.
Pastels aren’t something I wear often but I do like the color story, so I may actually pickup the Alter Ego one. I definitely don’t want to spend a lot on pastels.
Love how you do the compare swatches! Shows is we can build up the colors. So happy for a dupe brand. I would buy Alter Ego instead of Natasha's only because I rarely use pastel shades. Pretty look and awesome tutorial
Omg I have been wanting to get this pallete since the first time I saw you use the pastels and I know it was discontinued so I bought this alter ego one before I finished this video 😂😂❤❤
Well, first of all, the Dreamgate cover is gorgeous! I like how Dreamgate is organized too. Gosh, I have missed you! I think I need to fly to “Canada” some morning for coffee! Lol. The colors are very close, and the Dreamgate might be more user-friendly for a beginner…I think? Not as intense, but buildable. Huh! I guessed wrong on which was which. I figured the ND would grab more of he lid color, and it does when you swatch. I wonder if you should “moisturize” or apply a shadow base on your arm before swatching certain palettes. Good call on the liner. I think it's a great dupe! Thanks! Have a great weekend! ❤
I agree how Dreamgaze could be better for beginners! I try to not put anything on my arm when swatching, but yes if my arm was moisturized shades would glide on a lot smoother
I think the Alter Ego palettes look far easier to work with and honestly they look better. I always guess that the better looking eye is Natasha Denona and I'm always wrong.😂 However for the price point I'm wondering about the quality of ingredients for Alter Ego. Why is Natasha Denona so expensive? Are you just paying for the name or do they use higher quality ingredients?
I have a deeper complexion… I always thought pastels were for pale skinned people. The white base is hard to work with. I am not tempted to buy these at all. But, I am a fan of both brands, so I appreciate the video.
I guessed wrong on which palette you used on each eye but that's okay! Swatches can be deceiving especially if they perform well on the eyes. Great take and comparison of the two palettes!
It looks like the ND one has been discontinued. It was probably good timing for Alter Ego to come out with their dupe now, in case anyone didn't manage to get the ND one! Love your nails btw 😊
I really enjoyed this comparison video-especially since it’s almost Spring time! I don’t know where I stand on the whole “duping” thing. Natasha came up with the color story, which is amazing, so she deserves all the credit. On the other hand, not everyone can always afford Natasha, which I totally understand. Just my two cents. Thanks, Angela❣️❣️
I know that I'm late to this video, but I just purchased the Alter Ego palette, so Im curiouswhat it looks like. I don't own the ND palette. Your eyes are so gorgeous, you are as well!! BTW, I was wrong... I guessed ND was on your left eye
I bought the pastel palets when. she launched it bc I had no pastel eyeshadow.... I've used it very few times only in summer and never to go to work....).... I think I'd had used much more if I'had it years ago, when I was younger....😂😂😂😂 By the way, that red eyeshadow also intimidates me😂😂😂 I'll recreate this look (on weekend) bc I've nevr usede it
