i am somehow conflictet with naming brigitt bardot iconic nowadays. yes her style and make up or look is iconing in asthetic ways, but she later married an extreme right politician an beacame an extremly rassistic woman herself. The Question is - is it ok to destilate the asthetic from a human from the values her or he stand for? i mean nobody would say the nazis where iconic.... just because of the nice 1930/40s suits because we all now their values and ideas where wrong and dangerous. - so why is it stil ok to call people iconic who, in ethical terms of 2021 are horrible people just beacause they looked nice...
