There’s simply no sugar coating a Diaz bro. I’ll never forget when Nick popped for THC: Reporter: What do you say to those who suggest the weed smoking is interfering with your fight career? Nick: On the contrary, my fight career is interfering with my weed smoking.
@@Jackcroasdale92 I'm pretty sure he's nowhere near his regular residence at the time of this interview. He's in a rental accommodation out in Arizona desert, unlike us normal people...
No many other fighters in the UFC get these interviews on Sportscenter anymore other than Conor. Nate is a super star and a legend in this sport. Win or lose let’s just appreciate him fighting with a full crowd!!
@@davidwatkins9163 They were pretty good questions and he kept em rolling, which is perfect for a lil interview clip like this. I'll always prefer a reporter who knows the sport enough to expand on their questions though
I'm more 80 anxiety 20 confidence then ill smoke a j 100 confidence although I wouldn't suggest weed for someone with anxiety I've found the right strain that suits me stardawg all day baby
he needs different trainers then, I've not seen diaz try to kill in the ring. Ever. He always goes homer simpson style until his opponent starts to gas.
@@ranro7371 retirement speech? more like be time for that trilogy fight leading up to the next season of biggest loser after conor gets smoked again by poirier too.
Lack of or avoidance of eye contact is one of the main symptoms of aspergers syndrom. Probably one of the main reasons he's so focused and driven toward martial arts. Those that deal with aspergers are highly driven and sometimes have limited areas that they excell in. I've never heard anywhere that either of the Diaz brothers deal with aspergers syndrome. I'm just a big fan, like many others, that really want him to be successful. Just my opinion. Be cool, best wishes in all your endeavors. ✌😎👍
@beedsj roiue no he just seems like that because he doesn’t look into the camera that much. You’ll always see him looking around and shadow boxing in interviews
Jokes aside, I think that saying is more about having SOMETHING nice to say, even when you also have a bunch of not so nice things to say about someone.
Didn't Dana say that he's been offering 3 fights per year to the Diaz brothers and they always declined ? And it's been like that since 2016 when Nate got his 1st red panty night with McGregor
@@maltheri9833 yeah, but he sounds robotic and dull, like you may as well just have a computer speech program asking him these questions. just had a list of questions sitting in front of him and read them off in a robotic tone.
i love that nate chose to fight edwards. edwards is so good and has had such horrible luck in last 2 yrs that he deserves a huge oppurtunity like this. cannot wait for this fight. nate also is the man for fighting literally the hardest fight he could take.
No, Nate shouldn't be fighting this guy, this guy is way too much for Nate and I will hate to see Nate lose. khamzat, would have been a much better opponent for Leon and a more exciting fight.
Nate is not gangsta, he thinks he is because he's from Cali. He's so gangsta he has been beaten to brain damage already.....stop promoting this insanity it's costing him his brain...stupid fans
He certainly has more of a chance than most people think. Edwards' best win is Luque, Cerrone and Dos Anjos were washed up lightweights past their prime and Edwards didn't dominate either. Cerrone arguably won two rounds and Dos anjos one. Even a past prime Cerrone landed shots and made it competitive. Other than that Leon has no notable wins. Nate's best chance is to pressure Leon and get in boxing range while avoiding the clinch, which is easier said than done. Leon's wrestling can ragdoll him and his kicks will hurt Nate. Still, I think this is a winnable fight for Nate, but not likely.
@@69birdboy I can see what you mean but... maybe it's also the scare tissue. He bleeds with a flick lol there are other fighters that have taken more damage and are still good.
@@wyattperkins7478 What I meant was that this fight is getting more shine than the two title fights on the card. Diaz has had more interviews than any other fighter that’s fighting on Saturday.
@Speaking FACTZ I'm just always curious about nates" legendary" fight stamina.... he's only ever been in 2 fights that had a 4th round....you guess it, in his only 2 , 5 round fights.. not only that of all his fights that even went the distance , he's lost 9 and won 6.
The OG ! The man seems more at peace , and has found a lot of happiness that we all strive for. Not to mention , he wears his heart on his sleeve . You don’t have to wonder about this man- he will let you know. That’s a big reason ppl ride with him and Nick. What you see is what you get and it’s going to be fire either way.
@@anthonymartinez4307 Diaz has a chin and good stamina that’s about it. His bjj is obviously good but if Leon keeps it standing it’s an easy win for him.
Shitty questions , extremely annoying & disrespectful interview. Ya dont play fighting. Thats why ESPN type guys dont do well talking to fighters. It would be a problem if they were in the studio together. Terrible all around
i remember hearing once that 4 guys tried to jump nate outside a bar or something and one of them hit him with a brick or something and he still fkd them all up. not sure if it's true but i could definitely picture it.
@@Jack_80 i once got into a rumble at a halloween party in The mid 2000s that involved a brick. I threw a brick at the enemies but hit my boy in the head and he require 15 stitches. He was on 2 X pills. 209 baby!!
You can see no matter how hard Nate Diaz acts he is actually super shy in interviews. He wasn't even making eye contact in the beginning of the interview until he got a little more comfortable. I just point this out to highlight that people that suffer from anxiety can still do anything.
“I was waiting for the world to speed back up, I wasn’t really waiting.” 😂😂😂 love Nate so much. Like others have said, he’s so funny without trying to be or without even knowing he’s funny. I’ll never forget when he went on one of those popular late night tv talk shows and he was talking about Bieber and said he had his little Bieber’s with him and everyone just started dying laughing hahaha. That line was so funny just the way he delivered it.
@@montesa9136 his brain is not "fried". He's always been like this. Since the first interview he's ever done. He was like this in the TUF house. Nick and Nate are the exact same. It's not "brain damage" like everyone tries to say... it's just who they are. They get nervous on camera and don't like interviews. They have said it a thousand times. Watch videos of him when he's comfortable just hanging out with his friends and he speaks just fine.
@@ryanscarborough6703 no they didn't care bc they knew they were never good enough to get a ufc belt. Just facts, nick was a strikeforce champ but yano..
@@davideversole9786 Strikeforce champ and UFC champ came with a whole different set of responsibilities. To say neither Nick or Nate was good enough is just a bad take and far from a fact. They both make more money than 80% of UFC Champions and have the freedom to play by their own rules. So I got a question. Are you fairly new to MMA or just don't pay good attention to the details?
No doubt 😂 I saw one of those embedded videos and Nates back looks almost deformed it’s so muscular. Homeboy has been wrestling or something, he’s bigger it seems than last time I saw him. Hope Nate gets that W, Leon’s a beast.
I get the impression he's REALLY nervous around cameras and that. He understands that cameras are part of the gig, and how they pay the bills, but that doesn't make him any more comfortable around them.
