Bruh I am so glad Nate Dogg stuck to his guns and kept it a Double Cd 😁😁😁. My homie gave me that Double disc when I was living in a storage room after a Hurricane 😧 Man I left that cd playing on repeat shuffle for 14 months straight and that was the soundtrack to my come up 🙏🙏🙏 Rest in Peace to Nate Dogg ♥️🖤💚 You are truly missed

Breakaway records made a lot of money from that Nate Dogg album because they were independent but already got major label promo. The third single Nobody Does It Better with Warren G also ended up being the biggest song from the album.

Thank you for clarifying things in regards to the Johnny J lawsuit. I think your info may help explain (in part) the riff between The 2Pac Estate and Johnny J. Had that Nate Dogg album came out in January of 1997, it would've been the 1st album released from Death Row in 1997 and it would've been 1 of 2 releases in January. Death Row released 3 albums (including Death Row's Greatest Hits compilation) in November of 1996. So, they were actually putting more albums out for the first time than in previous years.

@ryangillum115
@ryangillum115 2 года назад
Hell yeah he did. That regulate album could have been on death row. That album was huge. It dominated 1994. All DR had in 1994 was above the rim soundtrack and murder was the case soundtrack. They were always Hatin' on warren G for some reason. Even Dr. Dre. Told Warren he better go somewhere else. And that's brother. And supposedly Dre owned 50 percent of DR. But if I can't get your brother on did he really own 50 percent? Also Warren G never got paid anything for his input on the chronic album.

He sampled way too much. And Suge hated paying producers unless it was a protege of Dr. Dre's. That's why Pac went with less sample based producers on The 7 Day Theory. That's just business.
@martyc909
@martyc909 2 года назад
@@itsrelativ3967 if you were to say this in 1996, no one would even accept that as a valid argument at all. In the 90’s, into the late 2000’s, sampling was still HUGE. Johnny J was one of 2Pac’s favorite because he could make beats quickly because he sampled. Pac didn’t care about sampling, he cared about speed. It’s why Johnny J was on half the unreleased tracks that leaked, because he was in the studio every day getting beats. Pac himself said, lay the beat down and finish it after the rappers left. That’s what Johnny did. He sampled something real quick, then finished it once Pac left. That’s why he loved working with Johnny J. In 1996, you NEVER heard he sampled too much. 95% of rap was sampled. Even on Makaveli, Toss It Up remixed the original No Diggity beat which sampled Grandma’s Hands by Bill Withers and To Live and Die in LA sampled Do Me Baby by Prince

Coincidentally Reggie released the song "Late Night" before it was on Better Dayz album. Reggie put that song on the Chronic 2000 album in 1999. Then it got put on Better Dayz in 2002. I don't think Amaru had the master reel, and that's why they released it with the original beat. Because you know if they had the acapella for "Late Night" they would have definitely put a new beat to it. Also not sure what you mean by "after UTEOT suffered". "Still I Rise" and "Until The End of Time" albums were both remixed. Songs on both those albums suffered too.

You said mj was difficult to get samples from, does anyone know how to my unborn child was cleared on until the end of time? What sampled Liberian girl? Was it the estate or DR what pushed that sample?

Reggie, I wasn’t too sure about you in the beginning of all the theories, but you seem “real” to me, just mix things up sometimes I can tell you do your best to tell the truth about “Deathrow” history, we’re older and make mistakes Can’t wait until you get ya health up. I had Covid, and was in the hospital, so I seen how real life can get. I Just stayed positive, vaped some herb with my “mighty” vaporizer, and ate healthy Whole Foods with a small amount of daily walking in the sun, then things got better
