Hey, so this will be kind of depressing, but my little sister passed away from brain cancer not long after the Halloween update, so, needless to say, she was already in bad shape ween this song came out. There were a lot of nights where I'd pull up a chair to sleep next to her just so I could be by her side while she fought. I listen to Nate's music a lot when I sleep, and any time this song would come on on the playlist, I'd cry. It still kind of reminds me of her.

Dude I remember being 10 and listening to this on repeat Brings back memories of when I still lived with my abusive alcoholic mother And I still remember all the lyrics despite it being 6 years since I last listened to it It’s honestly always gonna have a place in my heart not sure if it was intentional or not but it really captures what goes through the mind of a child that’s abused by their own parents

I feel like this song has heavy but subtle suicidal undertones. It's about a kid who's been bullied their entire life to the point where they don't feel safe even in their own home. The song even has an explicit lyric stating "Well maybe I'd be better off dead". It's stuff like this which helps people resonate with the song, even if they never got into the FNAF series.

When I was 13 years old I used to be obsessed with this song, I loved fnaf and I remember listening to the songs all those talented people created about the game… now 6 years later I’m here again, I miss those times… the thing is that now listening to it, the song doesn’t seem to talk about the game itself but rather referring to some feelings, You can decontestualize the song and still it will make so much sense that it’s relatable

This was very well made. The music in the backround is just perfect, it sounds awesome, while it doesn't override the lyrics. That is a hard balance to make. Oh and speaking of the lyrics, they were very well thought out and performed. You can definitely tell that he actually cared about how the song would come out, and not just of the views it would get. The effort that must have went into this speaks that clearly. Overall, this song was brilliantly thought out and carried out. Honestly, I can't stop listening to this!

This song seriously speaks to me because I truly do not think of this as a Five Nights at Freddy's song. This song perfect captures how I have felt for soo long and how I still feel like this daily basis. I truly do not feel at home right now for many reasons. I have a great family and all but I have been tormented by professionals who were supposed to help, which is why the line "They say I'm sick, well maybe I'm just better off dead" really hits me hard. What hit's the hardest though is the "So like balloons, I'll float away" because the helium method was and still is my preferred way of exiting this earth since it's peaceful and painless. Sorry for that trauma dump, I'm just wicked overwhelmed right now and this song is like the only thing that I can relate to.

"Is this a NIGHTMARE or just a dream" OK Nate serious question, are you putting references to your own songs about FNAF here by accident or not? In Nightmare one line is "I can't take the pain NO MORE" clearly not something that would be said, if any thing it would be "I can't take the pain ANY more" and also in No More a line is "But until then don't you dare say that we are the same" clearly a reference to the line in Mangled "Wear a mask to try and hide but really it makes us the same" Those ones are clearly nods to the other songs, but this is probably the first one that can be unintentional, as Nightmare is not only your song name but a constant thing in the game. Was it intentional or unintentional? Or both? I NEED TO KNOW! (PS Great song here, keep up the good work) (PPS I am not sure if I should be proud or not that I knew all of those lyrics by heart and didn't need to go back to make sure they are right)

I'm in love with this song, though my favourite is still Nightmare :) GOOD JOB NATE! So... This song reminds me of mental illnesses, Idk :/ I have OCD and I feel like I'm a prisoner of my own mind, that I call my "home"... Some mental illnesses try to hide, that's why they're not so easy to find in a person, and they're DEFINITELY monsters. AND the game is supposed to let us show a... child's nightmare, I think? That's exactly what mental illnesses are, a nightmare that make those who suffer from them think that they're nothing, that they're alone, that they deserve all the bad thinks that happen to them. There's something about certain fnaf songs that just hurt. I mean, now I know more of the story I feel very solemn and sad. Sometimes I forget fnaf is literally just a game with seemingly endless lore. But knowing some of the characters in the game never got justice, or only got fake rest is just so depressing, I mean everyone just seems to have died for nothing, Michael spent so long trying to finish and make amends but then POOF William Pops out again uglier then ever.
