K17_5UN3 Matt's just a really talented actor, he has a ton of training in both acting and singing thanks to his background in musical theatre (as a theatre student myself I can vouch for the legitimacy of this training) so he clearly knows how to portray extreme emotions like this effectively.

Matthew’s acting is literally so amazing. He can express the emotions perfectly with just his eyes, and look at him! He literally looks terrified! Especially at 2:13. Look at him....it’s as if he’s calling out to us (the viewers) to save him! This makes me glad to be a theatre kid like him! THEATRE KIDS UNITE!!!
MatPat's acting just pulls at my heart strings, he looks like he's actually been kidnapped and is pleading for help. Edit: I've seen his previous acting that he posted first on his channel, about 2 to 3 years ago now.
yeah, i feel really bad for him at 2:12 when he begins to struggle to get out, then looks at the camera with his eyes looking so desperate and begging for the viewer(s) to save him. matpat's acting is so frickin good, and just the fact that he can tell a story without the capability to speak, its just fascinating to me.

Well the whole plot of FNaF is that people are murdered and stuffed into animatronic suits which the get possessed. So he could have been killed by Nate and be listening to the Phone Guy as an animatronic.

Same tho. Well, I was kept down on a long chair by my best friend, her sister, and my sister, where they proceeded to shine a lamp in my face and ask repeatedly where I put the popcorn toy, but that was probably different.
I go the other way around and place this before FNAF the Musical. Here’s why: AJ refers to Nate as “boss” in night 4. That wouldn’t make sense, seeing as AJ had worked there for years and worked at the Sister Location before that, and Nate had literally worked his first shift in seven years the night before. So, I think that seven years before FNAF the Musical, Nate was the boss, and AJ worked there at that point. MatPat was hired as a security guard and found out the animatronics were alive just like Mark would years later. He responded pretty much the same way Mark did on night 2, or perhaps realized that they weren’t trying to hurt him and was a total jerk. Then, Mangled happened because Nate was angry, as he shows he does care about the animatronics to some degree, and he wanted to scare MatPat so he didn’t hurt the animatronics anymore. Then he quit because he felt bad or something happened with the animatronics idk. This is what drove MatPat insane, and also explains that while he tries to kill everyone in FNAF the Musical, he seems to be targeting Nate in particular. Otherwise he could have just killed Mark and AJ night 1. I know that this is obnoxiously complex, however if you involve FNAF and the Game Theorist then you have to accept that my theorist mind is going to analyze it to death
5 years ago. I'm not used to tattoo-less Nate anymore. Imagine one of the first times meeting someone and they suddenly want to tie you up and record your panicked face for the masses and they say "sure" because that's just the theater-loving maniac they are.
