Good heavens what a beautiful rendition of one of Schubert's most beautiful pieces. Stutzmann's deep emotional performance brings tears to one's eyes. What a wonderful artist with a heavenly voice. Her accompanist also has a deep feeling of accompanying a singer. Absolutely brilliant pianist.

I've watched them yesterday and the day before yesterday in Brazil, at Sala São Paulo. They are both AMAZING, and brought me and all of my friends to tears. No wonder they're this unbreakable team. It was one of the most satisfying concerts I've attended in my life... not to mention they were most kind to us in the autograph session that was arranged after the concert. They are both examples of TALENT, EXTREME MUSICALITY AND KINDNESS. Wonderful!

What a great artist! The way the Met orchestra treated her during Magic Flute performances was provincial and embarrassing. Gelb and YNS were AWOL of course. Hard to believe people still wonder why Met Opera is falling apart.
Gelb insisted on the apology. Nezet Seguin fanned the flames by supporting the offended on social media. The offended were orchestra members who didn't appear to take on board the intent which was to contrast the experience of orchestra in covered pit with that of orchestra on-stage level able to see.and participate in the action .Instead they took it as a criticism that they were actually bored when they couldn't see which is a bit of a stretch.! And of course it would be unprofessional to be bored. The apology was the simplest way out of the dilemma . The problem probably remains :" find something to moan about "

TheMsMezz: You're NOT a singer, so you based your judgment on your personal experience such as you can sing lower than Stutzmann's. I can sing down to the D below middle C in straight tone and produce weird cracking sound on a B/Bb an octave below middle C. I'm a contralto and this is based on my voice quality and where my voice sounds its best. Some sopranos can sing down to an E below middle C, does this make them a contralto/mezzo? What do you know about voice production?

I cant uderstand wny a woman singing this or what ... for example, do people know that Schumann's Diechterliebe was first sang by a dramatic soprano? ... why cant people just sing ...?? I may not like her voice or anything ... but she is free to sing whatever takes her fancy ... and actually I like her a lot!
Well, norisv, after years of training with several professionals, I decided my talents were better used professionally on other instruments. Who cares about your experience? NS is one of my all time interpreters, so I don't care what she calls herself. Can't believe you have nothing better to do than answer a months' old post. Go back to practicing voice.
Crap. On Medici TV there is a documentary detailing history and training..at 18 she was identified as contralto . Paris Opera school. Neue Stimmung Competition . Google..Besides repertoire for mezzo is superb. All the Mozart and Strauss trouser roles buckets of lieder, character roles in opera. There is less repertoire for contralto...so Stutzmann has researched and unearthed some superb Handel and Vivaldi..check car Heroes from the Shadows and Quella Fiamma
such bad singing! UGLY sound an in the middle she has such a wobble that you cannt tell which tone she sings, higher notes are stiff and forced. And I understand only some words. Muffled and woofy.
