Awesome album! Was born into the Cajun music, brought to the dancehall in Riceville , La. In a basket as an infant. Mother died giving birth to me. Learned to speak English at 4 yrs old when I started school! Love love Cajun music! Thank you for having this album! I am 78 years young now!!🎶❤️🎶ALL kinds!

After reading several James Lee Burke novels I was compelled to explore Cajun music, which led me the history of Cajun culture and views of Louisiana, especially the Bayou Teche. Now I am entraced by these sounds.

I played this soulful album every Sunday growing up and still have it. My family moved to Atlanta whenI was 9 and it was my connection to cajun music. A few years ago I got to play that very accordion in the picture. Its handmade with honer reeds in the key of C.
