I'm from S. America and grew up listening to country music because of my father's love for this style of music. I found out about Nathan Carter today and have become an instant fan.

He didnt make that song. He covered a song by the Old Crow Medicine Show. (who are absolutely amazing to see live best gig we ever had in the Centre for a long time.
Thank you, Thing is i have had a unique perspective in terms of a music fan. I work at the Leeds Irish Centre and seen Nathans 1st few gigs. When he returned to us our resident DJ was raving about old crow. We all were to be honest. I have seen saw doctors, Denver, Carter et al. And no gig has ever topped the Medicine Show. We had a que going all the way down the road and the atmosphere was second to none these guys have nothing on a band like that. A little acknowledgement wouldn't go a miss.
Nathan is right,Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are just pop mostly, not folk....Real American folk with an F U attitude is Waylon Jennings , Willie Nelson, Hank Williams and Jimmy Rogers .. ..
The Scene is dead in some places, take leeds for example. The Irish are spoilt for show bands in their club and they turn their nose up at it. We have had the best names (we had carter when he was just an up and comer and after) And the rooms are not as full as they used to be. The young Irish dont want this scene anymore, And the next generation moved on. Its young blood we need.
