He just smiled when the music didn't play on time. The commentators were right, it was a mental strength. It didn't put him off. Good for Nathan. Also this music is hauntingly beautiful.
That spread eagle to the quad toe triple toe is so difficult I really commend him for that. I remember in my early years when I tried the spread eagle to just a triple toe, I never quite have the speed and fell so many times or couldn't finish the rotation so I decided to just to leave it out. Damn you Nathan, what I work so hard on many times over you make it look so easy.
Chen has time to improve his talent and ability and become gold in 2022. USA needs to back him 100%. He deserves our praise and support now. Japan has given yuzuru their all. we need to do that too for Nathan.
Even though not here but his technique on the flip and the lutz is superb. He puts the toe pick straight into the ice and uses that to vault into the air. There is no need to pre rotate the jump because the toe pick gets him up in the air enough for him to complete the rotation in the air. That is quality jumping.
PATRICK CHAN THE COMMENTATOR, THE MOST OVERRATED SKATER IN HISTORY ! THE ONLY SKATER WHO CAN FALL 3 TIMES MAKE OTHER MISTAKES CONSISTENTLY AND WIN WORLDS ! SO GLAD I DONT HE IS GONE
Not like Yuzuru Hanyu won the Olympics with two falls right? Oh wait, he did. Sometimes a skater's content is so strong that thay can afford a few mistakes and still win. Same as Nathan won Nationals this year with two falls - and won comfortably too. I'm not a Chan stan, in fact I think he was boring af as a skater, but you cannot deny he had probably the best skating skills ever seen in the men's field. Amazing technique.
