Nathan East started teaching when he was living in San Diego and he taught private lessons. With recording and world travels, he had to stop. This program at ArtistWorks made it possible to return to his teaching. Born in Philadelphia and growing up in San Diego, he made his transition from East to West Coast. He loves being able to connect with students from all over the place.
He first started playing after tagging along his brothers to church. It really came naturally to him and here he is now, playing professionally. He learned by playing around and listening to the greats on the radio and the records. Records may have gone obsolete, but his passion for music prevailed.
