Nathan was inspired to be a counselor at the early age of 17 after realizing that he had a knack for talking about deeper subjects with his peers. He was driven even further to pursue counseling at this age when one of his close friends took his own life. It became very aware to him that people often have struggles that they keep on the inside due to looking abnormal and weak, or doing something taboo.
