Nathaniel I wish you the best quality of life possible and I am so sorry that you have been let down by the Tory government’s mismanagement of the NHS. I can confirm that in 2003 the NHS under Labour did deliver a good service for patients as when I had a huge brain tumour I underwent surgery within 3 weeks and went home a week later. I was lucky as the tumour was benign and MRI scans over the following 12 years showed no recurrence. I did lose my sense of smell but consider myself lucky that my eyesight was not affected. I am so sorry that you did not receive the same level of care from the Tory NHS!
Tax cuts for the very, very rich at the expense of public service was and is just one Tory policy that is, as Nathaniel says, as much a moral as a political decision.
Not true, the 45% tax threshold was recently lowered from £150,000 to just over £125,000, so anyone earning more than this pays MORE income tax, not less. Check your facts before you spout nonsense.
NHS should be priority 1, 2 and 3 for the incoming government. It will take a long time to undo the damage the Tories have done, to rebuild hospital capacity and retrain and retain staff, but it’s an absolute imperative

What the Tories have done to the NHS is unforgivable. But it's unfathomable that Wes Streeting would now promote privatisation of NHS services, undermine Labour's biggest ever achievement and the biggest reason to vote Labour. We know from numerous examples, that privatisation of core services significantly increases costs for the public. Furthermore, allowing private companies to become entrenched in healthcare provision is extremely difficult to reverse and puts the NHS at risk of expensive legal action (see Virgin Care legal case). It also fragments the service, increases cost of resources, takes money away from the frontline and introduces new inefficiencies (Eg. Less pro-active disease prevention & less social/primary care - both much cheaper than secondary care). Some of the most expensive care systems in the world have increased levels of private involvement and a democracy that is being infiltrated/undermined by a higher level of corporate interests.
Every day instead of improving things are getting worse are strikes and protest every day things are taking so long and delay like the package is delayed on Amazon uk and eBay and Royal Mail and online stores all the time

Back from my usual sunday walk. I approached a "labour" candidate with his Granny. Beacon Hill South Birmingham. I asked why should i vote for you? He went into brain wash mode. He sounded like starmer after he's had a few. Full of the arrogance but extremely naive and somewhat condescending at the same time. His Gran kept butting in spouting figures totally at odds with what Labour are actually saying. When asked about Gaza, heads down. Shameful, couldnt even repsond so i left. Labour is tory lite.
Labour opened to borders, and the NHS is now over run. who would have guessed. This man has been failed by the last labour government. Then conservatives just allowed it to continue. BOTH parties need to go. Time for real change, time for reform
