This is episode 6 in the story of three Dutch guys (and a dog!), their friendship and a plan that took the better part of a decade to come together. We went on a two week canoe trip on the Nation Lakes in BC, Canada.
And the kicker?
On the day of our departure most of us didn't know we were going on this adventure!
Come along and join us as we paddle the Nation Lakes Canoe Route together!
In this episode we paddle the second stretch of the Nation River. Conditions are much more favorable than they were on the first stretch and with only one real obstacle in our way we make good time on our way to Tchentlo Lake. We visit the Tchentlo Hot Springs and make camp in the last few hours of daylight. We watch a stunning sunset as we focus our thoughts on the next few days, paddling the largest lake of the trip.

Those springs were great to soak in and much warmer than the lake! So clear and clean (once the scum layer was removed!)

I thought of you when we were there! 😆 Yes, they are quite a lot warmer than the lake, but they didn't seem too pleasant when we were there. I wonder if it is due to timing, you were there earlier in the season than we were. Though with hot springs that shouldn't matter, I suppose. 🤷‍♂️

@@adventureben22 Maybe I just have a thing for hot springs, even when they aren’t hot.

🤣 Fair enough! The view alone is worth a soak, isn't it?

@@adventureben22 both the view and the smell of wild mint made it a very memorable soak.
