University of Delaware alumnus Chris Christie (AS84) was New Jersey’s 55th Governor from 2010 to 2018. He discusses Trump, his own political aspirations, and the recent elections in Kentucky and Virginia. Governor Christie's first book, "Let Me Finish: Trump, the Kushners, Bannon, New Jersey, and the Power of In-Your-Face Politics," was published in 2019.

i cant disagree with his politics more than i do, but i admire him as a person, he doesn't sugar coat, he doesn't lie .

Remember this: everyone in the world says yes to the American President. To be that person only takes that understanding. Implement perfect phraseology based on that principle. Don't lie let them know what they are saying yes to and why they are saying it.

At the time he ran, I preferred him early on but I’m hindsight, I’m glad Trump won - he proved what’s possible with businesslike thinking. I like Christie’s style more, but he’s too entrenched in the thinking of a politician. If he would embrace Trump’s policies more, I’d support him - he would’ve been a much better VP than Pence
