As a soulful man from the American South,i have learned to appreciate all people and their music, traditions and cultures. This music is relaxing in itself, but to play with little effort yet so much passion is amazing to me. I understand now why my friend plays this type of music for her guests during dinnertime. I don't know if i actually eat listening to this but it does add a marvelous effect.
This kind of musical structure is called "Sama'i" and it's constructed of 4 movements "khanah" and one repeated refrain "tasleem". The first three movements and the repeated refrain are using (Iqa‘ Sama‘i Thaqil 10/8) (Iqa' means rythem in Arabic). However, the 4th movement is usually having a different rythem and here he uses (Iqa' Sama‘i Ta’ir 3/8) ("ta’ir" means flying in Arabic): هذي المقطوعة من قالب السماعي و بالعادة يتكون من ٤ خانات و تسليم متكرر، الخانات جميعها و التسليم على (إيقاع سماعي ثقيل 10/8) ما عدا الخانة الرابعة فيختلف إيقاعها و ليس لها إيقاع ثابت لكن هنا استخدم المؤلف (إيقاع سماعي طائر 3/8) و هذا تقسيمهم: Taqaseem: 00:00 1st Khanah: 2:28 Tasleem: 3:12 2nd Khanah: 3:55 Tasleem: 4:39 3rd khanah: 5:23 Tasleem: 6:06 4th khanah: 6:50 Taqaseem (which is unusual): 8:28 Tasleem: 11:46

As a Chinese, the beauty and movement flows in the music made me feel so tranquil and peaceful. Arab do have great artists who are able to create such wonderful pieces!❤❤

الحقيقة شفته وهو عم يقود الأوركسترا... كان رااااااااائع الاداء محب لعمله والإنسان لما بيحب عمله يتقنه بأسلوب متقن عن حب ومو بس مجرد روتين ماشاءالله عليه روووعه في القيادة والروح

بتعدو عن كميت الكذب المهول في الصحف و الاذاعات و القنوات التلفزونيه التي يصيطر عليهلدا اعداء العرب و تابعو العرب بتجرد لتفهم عنق هذه الحضاره العضيمه بعيدا عن الاحكام المسبقه فالخاسر ااوحيد هو من يصدق كل ما يقال عن الاخرين و بالتالي يحرم من التمتع بكافت اشكال الحضاره العربيه
هذه الموسيقى تجعلك تعود في الزمن إلى الوراء وتشعرك وكأنك تمشي في شوارع بغداد أو قرطبة، حر الصيف يلفح وجهك، تجد أمامك باب بيت فيئه من شجرة ياسمين او نارنج تظلله، وأرضه مرشوشة بماء يفوح منها عبق التراب، فتجلس تحته، تمسك بعمامتك لتغير اتجاهها من الشمال الى اليمين على رأسك بينما انت تستمتع بمشاهدة الناس الذين يمشون جيئة وإيابا.
أرقى أوركسترا في العالم العربي .. فهي في مقام الفرقة الماسية العربية و باسلوب و تقنيات احدث و إبداع بنمط جديد يديم حيوية الفن العربي ذو الطرب الاصيل و الحديث! تبارك الرب !

وحده "العود" يملك هذه الهيبة و القدرة على ملء أي فراغ صوتي مهما اتسع. لا تحاول أن تستعرض مهاراتك كعازف ولا تسرف في التقنيات. كن بسيطاً ما أمكنك ذلك. و سترى كم سيمتعك العود كعازف وكم سيشبعك كمستمع.
I can’t say enough good things about this performance. It was immensely pleasurable to hear in all aspects of the arrangement and the wonderfully clear sound that was captured in the recording. It’s difficult to imagine the Oud sounding more noble and refined as we hear it played here. The subtle introduction of modern elements in the orchestration works exceedingly well without detracting any of the charm and flavor of traditional Arabic music. I found myself completely enchanted and captivated by this performance, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that regard. Such wonderful playing by all, with particular praise going to the commanding performance of the solo Oud.

I’m from the USA and this is my favorite type of music just the beauty of creative music. I envision Kingdoms of Persia and ancient people migrating through the country’s of Eurasia. It’s interesting to know about your ancestors and their past.

When I hear Chinese instrumentals, I like enjoying tea on the edge of a cliff and looking at the mountains. Japanese instrumentals, I feel dancing enjoying the silence sometimes while wearing a mask or katana. And Arabic instrumental, i feels like swimming in an endless ocean of sand and makes me want to swim more and more deeply.

I always come back here to listen to this... Again and again... This is one of the best oud-orchestra ever performed in the world. I dare to state no one can top this performance performed beautifully with so much emotion and feel. Transports you to another time and space where everything else is non coherent but this.
