National Arts Theater logo (1953-1954) 

Under the assumption that most logo enthusiasts reside in the West, our perception of many vintage Indian logos tend to be scary for us, when you'd have to consider that these logos were made for an entirely different audience. I know next-to-nothing about Indian or Hindu culture, but because Indian logos seem to have particular trends going on (stormy weather, religious verses, chants and iconography) it appears to be historically common and generally throughout not too many complaints were made about them. For somebody else, the National Arts logo can be meditative and calming. It's slow, sparse, and peaceful. Also a common thread through many indian logos is the prescence of religion and order that stops, or at least guides through, the chaos and distress. Notice how the thunder stops as soon as the lamp is lighted. it's okay if you find this, or other Indian logos scary. I just think looking at these logos through Eastern-colored glasses as opposed to Western shouldn't be discouraged.

This logo doesn't scare me honestly, I find more scarier and creepier other logos like the "Happy Panda Bears", Timpson Films, the MGM lion, etc...

Ever since the Ramsay Film logo I have uploaded......this National Arts really scared me......it is so scary with lightning, a lamp being lit and the man singing so creepy. That is a true Nightmare factor. Great job uploading it with better quality. ^^' It seems India has the scariest logos in existence, right?

Scary Factor: Very Low (atleast in my opinion) the reason I'm not scared of this logo is, well, I don't find logos to be scary, also because it's meant for a different audience, probably somewhere in South Asia, AKA India, and I do kind of understand that for some people, it can be calm and relaxing while other people, most people in North America, in the U.S. and possibly Canada, they find it "scary," so that is basicly why I'm not scared of this logo, also not because I'm Indian.

I actually don't find this the scariest Indian logo. Not with Manish Films, Ramsay Films, Buddha Productions, Sham Ralhan Productions, and Trishul around.

I can Kinda see where people are coming from saying that the National Arts Theater logo (1953-1954) Stole The (1908-1930) Gaumont Daisy, But it's Hard to tell. Anyways, this logo is boring.
