Most likely a reproduction.....I have NEVER seen a No. 1 look that good. In fact, she still even has her natural color. Almost all the No.1, No.2, and No.3 dolls are faded white, almost like a zombie.

@ dreambro1 you are fogetting about the one that was made in 1994 she was a repro of the very first barbie and yes this one has holes in her feet like the very first one i have her in my collection and she is a brunette.

Where have I stated that I've never seen a No. 1 Barbie doll? NOWHERE in my response have I said that. You don't even know me to say that I don't know what a no. 1 looks like in person. In fact, I've seen a couple. There are even websites that show you how you can tell an original from a repro. And I'm not saying this woman is a fraud at all; she could just be showing what a no. 1 LOOKS like by using a repro. as an example, since the original is extremely rare to come by.

most likely NOT.. Evelyn Callas has been well known in the Barbie collecting world for YEARS and this was at a NATIONAL Barbie convention with TONS of Barbie collectors. i seriously doubt ANYBODY would be stupid enough to march in there with all the eagle-eyed expert dealers/collectors and try and pass off a repro as the real thing, charging $7,000+ for it. just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean this woman is a fraud. next time think before you talk about what you don't know.
