This is "Multiverse" a light installation at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. For more information, see: www.nga.gov/exhibitions/villar... In Oct 2009, the NGA made this a permanent installation. The music is a RU-vid audio swap: Rings of Uranus. I guess that entitles youtube to run ads on this page without informing me.

@nomainreason Hi, If you click on the nga link under the video, you go to a page that includes a downloadable video of the author discussing his programming. I'm not sure that it can ever be explained very simply.

how is the pattern programmed? is it like a matrix and 2 loops control the LEDs? how do you design the "movement"??
