The government dragging its heels cost lives, so no they didn't come free. In terms of the money: the government can't run out of it. There's nothing to pay back; the creditor is the BoE. Read a book.

Yep it’s called leveling up! Meaning rich and poor no in between. We all cry virus whilst the rich meet up no masks or distance and we all cry “global warming” whilst the rich continue to fly private and run enormous mansions castles and palaces, we all cry for Ukraine whilst ignoring the other wars raging over the last decade……we deserve it for allowing it and never thinking for ourselves, the strong members of society are sedated with sport beer n p**n. Those that can save us by rising up, won’t and the middle class were happy to be paid to stay at home as long as the lower class went to work serving in shops and emptying bins! We deserve everything that’s coming

In the UK 🇬🇧 we give so much to other countries via charities, but god forbid we have to give a bit extra towards are NHS😡 one day the NHS will save your life or a loved one, and remember (most people) furlough wasn't free.

This is so damn unfair as I've spent the last 7 years looking after my mother with vascular dementia and never got paid a penny for looking after her so at this rate all the national insurance that I had paid in means that I will never get state pension and I'm now 55

Rishi Sunak is now playing the victim now by saying is wife is being smeared. He just doesn't get it, while he's stitching the poor, his wife Akshata Murty may have avoided up (or evade paying tax) to £20m in tax with non-dom status. Murty has previously collected other dividend income via the tax haven of Mauritius, which does not tax dividends. I always thought he was cynical and an opportunist.
