National Pike steam show, spring 2024. Full tour! 

My Grandpa ran a old cable dozer I can't remember the year or make or model this was in 72 I was 4 years old when he sold it. But he took me to old tractor shows steam engines for some reason it comes to easily. Me and 3 other friends got a old steam powered 5 stamp mill up and running in two weekends the day we got it running we ran some material that sitting around. The owner of the property showed up the last day and was impressed that a bonch 20 year old kids could get it working he said what ever we find in the cleanup we could keep any gold we ended up with 27 ounces of gold. Apparently he sold it to a museum for a good penny he still allows us to come up and do mining or metal detecting on his property for free. We still give him some if we found some, one weekend we found 74 ounces and gave him 20 ounces for letting use have fun. Sadly he passed away 8 years ago at 95 years old his daughter's was happy that we spent time with him mining. I asked them if they found the gold they said what gold he never told use about it so I should the stash of gold to them 4 mason jars full. Apparently they sold land to a mining company but they haven't done anything with it yet.

I'm with you. When I was a kid my dad and I went to the county fair, saw lots of old engines (really old now, this was in the 50s). Here in New Mexico, we have the Farm and Ranch Museum in Las Cruces. They have quite a few old tractors, and equipment. Very interesting place.

Nice video! I was there on the Saturday of the show. Got rained on for part of the morning and things were a little greasy for a while, but it was a good show as always. I have been going there for the last 15 years and the show has certainly grown a lot over that time period. It makes me feel old sometimes because I have operated a fair amount of the machines that you would see there on display. Spring show is optional donation admission, and the August show is I think 7 bucks if I remember right, but don't quote me on that. I always throw some money in the kitty no matter what because it costs money to put on these shows and I want it to keep going because it is one of the best things to do that doesn't cost a bunch of money and is family friendly. The flea market is usually really good for old parts and tools as I have bought quite a bit of stuff there over the years. Matt from Diesel Creek and Sam from Scrappy Industries are some really good dudes.

This was the first year I just happened to find out about this and I've lived in Pittsburgh all my life. Portersville supposedly was also having a steam show that weekend but I went down to the pike show on a whim and thought it was cool. Definitely going to try and get back in August.

I love your channel and know diesel creeks channel well what you are refering to as a dragline is actually a front cable shovel we used to call them steam shovels but they arent steam operated you need to get a tour of matts equipment to learn the actual names he has all 3 a cable front shovel a drag line and a cable excavator

Some steel plates would fit very well on this machines

I've been wanting to go see the show but I never know when it's going on
