I've been curious about the Native natural deodorant for a while and finally decided to test it out and make a video review. I got a three-pack with charcoal, coconut & vanilla and cucumber & mint and tested out the coconut & vanilla and cucumber & mint over 5 days (I gave the charcoal to my husband).
I've been trying to find a good natural deodorant since 2018 and haven't been able to find one that I really want to stick with. The ones that have been working never smelled particularly good to me and the rest were just not effective. I was impressed with Native both in terms of the scent and how it performed - that week was extremely hot in Massachusetts and I felt like I was sweating a ton, but still felt pretty fresh at the end of the day with just one application in the AM.

in my experience, yes - it always leaves marks on my black clothes, so I try to be extra careful when putting them on. Doesn't leave yellow sweat stains for me though.

Yes, I heard p&g bought them recently, hopefully they don't change the formulas for the worse. For the scents, I was thinking that it might have something to do with your natural scent!

Love the packaging, it’s so cute! Wish I could smell them 😩 the quick sniff in the car, always needed!! Crazy that it lasted through the workouts!! Coconut and vanilla is where it’s at then! Glad it ranked well on the app!! Love that it’s a glider! Definitely need to check this out!

WOW I'm shocked it worked so well the first day - awesome! lmao I love that you told us the truth about not wanting to work out - I felt that!! it's so funny, this got me thinking how much I HAVEN'T worn deodorant in quarantine.. mostly bc what's the point HAHA I have been very interested in more natural deodorants tho, I hear the "typical" ones are notttt good for us. Loved seeing this video and am pleasantly surprised at how well they performed.

Hahaha you have a good point about deodorant in quarantine 😆 It's so hot though and I'm happy to do anything to feel less gross! Yes, that was one of the reasons why I wanted to switch to natural and I've tried A LOT: schmidt's is good, I also like Own (from Whole Foods), but this one was my fave so far - I think you can also get a sample size.

From a different RU-vid video that was sponsored by Native, I got a discount on the deodorant 3-pack. I thought, “hey, I have never heard of Native before, I wonder if this natural deodorant is worth it?” So I decided to buy some. The first thing that I noticed, other than the amazing scents, was that I still sweated with this deodorant. It does not have antiperspirant. I’m so used to that in my deodorants that I was a little caught off guard. I was afraid the scent would wear off and I’d be left with sweaty and stinky armpits. However, while I sweat, I don’t really smell it, like you said, the deodorant masks the sweat smell. I love the lavender one! I also got the coconut and vanilla one and some kind of berry scent. I’m honestly pleasantly surprised. I’m a little nervous that it would be overpowering but it isn’t , it’s like the right amount of scent. Overall, I really do recommend Native products. They also make and sell soap and toothpaste too! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

OMG when you smelled yourself in the car, I was cracking up but I've totally done the same with a new product. I am in love with coconut scents. I had never heard of this brand (actually never even looked into natural deodorant to be honest)... I will have to check it out.

I purchased a small trial version of the Native deodorant in coconut and vanilla, and it's been my favorite natural/cruelty-free deodorant that I've tried so far! I've never heard of the Think Dirty app before, but it sounds so cool! I would definitely like to see how clean my products are.

My favourite deodorant is we love the planet. After couple weeks you don't even sweat as much. And it smells all day too ( and I work 12 hour shifts in busy environment)

I’m actually switching to natural deodorant after getting basically cysts in my armpits from aluminium blocking the sweat. Not sure cysts is the right word but that’s what they seemed to be, basically the sweat couldn’t escape so just built up in my lymph nodes resulting in lumps. Apparently it wasn’t anything to worry about and not remotely dangerous but I’d rather not have lumps to worry about yanno. So I’m trying native and nuud. Native I’m slightly worried about as it’s made with bicarb which has a different ph level to human skin so could possibly give you a horrible rash/burning sensation so I’m also not sure about the ‘clean’ thing, but hopefully the bicarb is in low amounts or has been ph balanced with other things so it doesn’t irritate my already sensitive skin. But I’ve heard lots of raving reviews, whereas nuud is a similar concept to aluminium but it just prevents bacteria rather than stopping you sweating entirely, and unsure if it’s different for aluminium, but the silver in nuud is in too bigger a particle size to fit in your pores so it won’t clog them. However it does seem expensive as hell so I’m going native first to get any aluminium buildup out of my pores before I start nuud. We shall see

Good luck! Hope it works for you :) You've probably heard that if you've researched native, but there is an adjustment period when switching to a natural deodorant where you might feel that the deodorant doesn't do anything, it lasts for a few weeks. I didn't go through that since I've been using natural deodorants for a few years, but it's helpful to keep in mind when trying a natural deodorant for the first time.

No Pong is amazing as well. It is from Canada. I think they ship other places as well. No Pong is pretty reasonably priced in comparison to Native here in Canada. I just got Native to try and it cost me over $21 with tax. That is a crazy price.

Love Native it's smells sooo good. Lume doesn't work for me and it doesn't smell good at all. I use lavender and rose smells sooo good. Coconut vanilla good as well.

thank you for your review for this deodorant I use a natural deodorant called Tree tea I think but it honestly sucks. But to be honest I didn’t really try to find something that would help with the ordor but I’m here lol im going to try to buy myself this deodorant 😇👌🏻

I didn't notice anything when I applied it after I was already dressed, but one time I applied it before I put on a black dress and I got some traces from the deodorant as I as was putting it on. I don't know if I explained it well haha

Hi there! With Native, less is more. To avoid staining we recommend only using 1-3 swipes under each armpit. Spread the product by rubbing your arms against the sides of your body (in ski formation). This will help make sure that you can fully rub the product into your skin, which will improve performance and reduce transfer to clothing. If you notice any product on your clothes, apply a small amount of soap and try to rub out any product residue before washing and drying. This will avoid any permanent stains!

How was the texture of the actual deodorant itself? I've tried certain natural deodorants and they apply very poorly and almost grainy and not smooth like regular deodorants.

Omg I would love to use this but my armpits tend to sweat quite a bit even when I’m wearing an antiperspirant deodorant, so I’m little skeptical since I don’t want sweaty, wet, armpit stains.

Ive had issues with excessive underarm sweat for years and Native is the only natural deodorant I’ve tried so far that actually works for me and I’ve tried heaps! I was considering underarm Botox until I found rexona clinical protection. Since then I’ve been on a mission to find a natural deodorant that works just as well and native deodorant in the cotton & lily scent is literally just as good! I was shocked because I’m very skeptical after trying so many shit natural deodorants lol. I’ve been testing it for two months now and love it, I’m about to buy some more which is why I’m watching this video I was looking for a discount code somewhere 😂

No it's not anti-perspirant. I haven't had an issue with dark armpits from that deodorant, but can't guarantee everyone will have the same experience :)

All deodorants work differently for everybody it's not all gonna work the same . My sister used Native and actually made her smell worse but when she changed her her deodorant it worked for her . So try it for your self to see if it works for u .

Not sure if she has used natural deodorant before that, but as far as I know there is a period of adjustment when you first switch to natural deodorant and you might smell worse. I haven't had that issue with native because I had been using natural deodorant years before I tried it :)

Well it dosent work for everyone like my sister because it made her smell worse. I had some deodorants that didn't work for me or made me smell a bit worse . And the I got Native and worked for me.

I switched to natural deodorant in 2018 so I didn't have to detox. I actually found out just recently that detoxing is a thing.

I noticed that right after I apply it there is still some residual product and if I put my clothes on right after there were some white marks where the fabric touched my underarm. So I just started applying after I'm already dressed and that seemed to solve the problem.

I used to think Native was great! But unfortunately they test on animals and aren’t cruelty free and they are over priced and i don’t support that.

their parent company procter & gamble does, but native says on their website they don't test on animals. I'm honestly confused, need to look into it further.
