I asked my wife several years ago if I could have a Mexican girlfriend to practice Spanish with. She still brings that up when she's angry.

Gordon said once that he now needed to get on with his French and that it was time for a French wife... He's still paying for those words 5 years on ( and he will continue for a long time) so, good luck to you too! Haha Cxx :D

Wow!! Imagine my surprise. I just fired up my pc for another grueling day learning new Spanish words when suddenly I spot another vid from yourselves, in Spanish, at my level. I must admit I thought it was christmas there for a minute...well...until I cross-ref the content of the vid against my level to the (2-5) level you gave it and now I am sad again... Oh well, I guess I will have to watch it over and over... Thanks for posting it. Great vid, great content (as usual). Andy.

Ok lets see, A ver lol. This is all i understood: You asked her about her family. She said she is a aunt. She talked about her grandparents. She lives in madrid, spain. I think she said her parents live in a different city. She has two very physical jobs that she enjoys, only gets saturday and sunday off. She works 9 hours out the day and never has time for exercise or other things. But i think she said she prefers to stay home. I think you said what does she like most about spain and she said the strangers are more passive and friendly. At the end y'all joked about how good/clean the convo was.

dean masters dean ive been studying spanish for 2 months now but in full immersion central America. The accent here is completely different to the accent of the lady and I understood probably 75-80% easily enough to follow what was going on and participate in the conversation if i were present. I'm from australia - spoke literally zero spanish when i got here spanish as a second language. Basically what I'm getting at is fast track your spanish go and listen to some locals and communicate there.

LOL TV show Salvame Deluxe and 'La Prensa Rosa' is the C List celebrity gossip forum which borders on slanderous. But there is a mini industry surrounding this phenomena, people who are friends, ex-friends and ex-lovers get paid handsomely for giving their opinions on the lives of the famous in Spain (although I think the famous themselves get a cut of the deal in many cases and often initiate the gossip). Mention La Pantoja or Paquirrin to someone in Spain and they will respond with either adulation, anger or a wry smile.

David Boris Fernandez I've watched them, David and I have to say that I really can't tolerate them. So much talking about absolutely nothing. Many people are addicted to those programs and watch them avidly. I have an issue with the way the new fashion is to live our life through others. Great comment, by the way.

@futurez12
@futurez12 6 лет назад
But what are you doing with those "films, music, and radio?" Are you just listening hoping you will eventually understand? It doesn't work like that. The reason someone can't understand something is because they don't know enough words, or they haven't done enough listening practice. Since you say you have done the listening practice, I think it's safe to assume you don't know enough words. A way to help with that is to work with both the audio AND text. Study the text, try to understand the patterns, take notice of how things work, what words are used, how things are expressed etc. It takes LOTS of time and hard work to learn a language, there's no other way. You've done it once, so you know you're not deficient in anything language related, you just need to start actively studying and strive to get better by putting in the time it takes. Assuming one has a functioning brain, there's not a person on earth who can't learn a second language, but there are plenty who don't put in the time and effort it takes. Humans are language learning machines, we're ALL naturals at it, you're no different, if you believe you can do it and don't give up, you'll have success.

Is there a video on the difference use of pero and sino
@AbrahamSayago
@AbrahamSayago 9 лет назад
Shae Reeves Pero works more like an objection, while sino is more like a "twist" in the line of thought. Examples: - _Tengo que ir a la tienda, pero antes necesito ir al banco._ [I have to go to the store but I need to go to the bank first.] There's an opposite action to going to the store, it's an objection. Going to the store can't be completed if you don't go to the bank first. - _No tengo que ir a la tienda, sino al banco._ [I don't have to go the store but the bank.] You were thinking about going to the store, but something happened that made you change your mind and now you contrast both ideas or actions. There was a "twist". Think about a path on which you are walking, it's your line of thought about something in particular, but it's a "wrong" thought or reasoning and you just are not aware of it yet. At some point the path splits and offers an alternative path. If you keep going straight on your original path, you will continue being _wrong_, but the alternative path leads to the _correct_ thought or conclusion. That point is the sino and so you can see the difference and tell: "It was not this path, but this path (instead)".

Saludos.
