About long campaigns--you talked about the economic aspect--people and networks raking in political cash. Perhaps just as, or maybe more important is, having a year and a few months gives the powerful and their media plenty of time to "steer" the minds of viewers who have misplaced their trust, in them. It allows the powerful to push their chosen candidates and in Bernie's case, to crap all over good ones.

ALL fighters do better with AWACS intel. F-16's are great planes, but the missiles they carry are distance handicapped. Russian fighters can shoot hyper-sonics from 70 plus miles away maybe 30 mi with U.S. missiles. The REAL problems are 1. Not enough of them. 2. Can they be protected on the ground?
The Libertarian state party in Colorado got all asshurt that the Libertarians nominated Chase Oliver, so they decided to remove him from the ballot and run RFKJR instead. Which is so fucking stupid it hurts my brain. Yeah, Oliver has some pretty cringe takes. But none of those takes are nearly as cringe as being the most vocal pro Palestinian g-word (thanks YT algo) candidate in the race.
