Soon this will be seen in battle against insurgencies nice.. i can't wait to see this in action this will prove the company that who made this machine it's worth
@@stratosphere0038 Just be cautious because you don't know if the insurgencies here in the Phils are already smuggling some anti tank launchers then the Sabrah tank is already done.
@A dude with a flashlight Its kind of weird that we use APCs as a spearhead for our counter-terrorism activities, even though the armaments of APCs are only for self-defense...
It would be ineffective on withstanding hits from APFSDS projectiles. The 120mm tank gun on it would be effective for engaging targets, since the gun is being used in many NATO standard main battle tanks. It could also be effective if it used the same tactics as a modern 8x8 wheeled gun tank destroyer (flank enemies and engage them in a defensive position).
I saw your other comment, I guess you are also interested on how the Philippine/Israeli variant will stand against tanks too, right? Well, it would still be ineffective against APFSDS projectiles unless it has the Iron Fist APS which can be fitted on the Sabrah Turret and said to withstand HEAT and APFSDS projectiles. The 105mm tank gun on the Sabrah is possibly a dual purpose gun (Anti-tank and fire support) but the Philippine military would rather use this for fire support. Just as I said, this would be effective if it used the same tactics as modern 8x8 gun tank destroyers.
@@RyuzoSan19 Thanks for the info, i’m hoping an Iron Fist will be considered too along with a 120mm gun since our Sabrah will only have a 105mm gun. But it’s great enough for fighting insurgents in our own country since the Ascod has (i think) a good Stanag 4 level protection.
@Gen Vuelham Nope, its originally an IFV but can be used as an APC. And im pretty sure the Merkava just has the door on its back for urban warfare purposes.
@Gen Vuelham Maybe for the HITFACT turret which is currently the only tank gun turret fitted on the ASCOD. Maybe not for the Sabrah since they said it has about 24 extra rounds stored in the hull.
they should make unmanned turret for next-generation tank if the tank fails the operator inside will not be dead. Safety is better. like t14 armata of russia
Ofcourse not. In the contract it states it will have a Rifled 105, so not direct Tank Combat but Rather Ambushes will be its Charm against modern MBTs. But it's good enough to fight against Insurgents
@@porsche-sandoesnotundersta8184 merong laban to. hindi naman masyadong nalalayo ang armour penetration ng APDS 105 vs 120, 125. Filipino crews have advantage over terrain and better network c4i than the Malaysians have with their Twardy tanks.
@@jesterrosadio4396 a Rifled Main gun and a Smoothbore Gun is Different and have their own advantages. Rifled guns are Accurate and can pack more traditional rounds such as Hesh and He while Smooth bore can be equiped with Apfsds that has a better Tank killing ability. You can look at Britains 120 Rifled Main Gun, They admitted that the Smoothbore gun of the Leopard 2 is better in Armor Penetration than the Challenger 2s Rifled gun.
