Natron Lesson 7 - Animated Logo Intro Video using FREE Software! 

You've taught me more about how to use the software I use than my 2 year media course.

Short tips: - If the animation too slow or too fast, click on "Dope Sheet" (next to Node Graph / Curve Editor) then drag the keyframe to adjust the speed - Press and hold "shift" while dragging / moving object to lock the x / y axis.

If you hold the shift key before moving an object in a viewer, only one axe is changed and other one is static. Can be useful if you want to move an object in one axe

Thanks for your Natron tutorials. It's new for me but your way of teaching makes it easy to follow. I am a GIMP and KDENLIVE user but some effects can't be done in KDENLIVE so that's the reason for me to try something new. As for now I think Natron could be the answer. When I'm finished with the Natron tutorials I'll take a look at your other tutorials as well. Again, thank you very much :-)

I think Write node shall have the ability to connect also with viewer node in order to render, this helps to avoid lost ... Thank you a lot for presenting!

Great tutorials! Been searching for an alternative for the Adobe Ae and this program has it. However, when I rendered the video with an SVG logo that I made, it was GRAINY! How could the logo have vector quality when rendered? Thanks!

I made a little 1080X1920 animation which shows very large on VLC with parts of it being cropped. Is there a way to resize it. Also how do you get rid of the clip's name at the bottom of the screen on VLC? Great presentation. Simple and to the point.

Question: How can I merge the logo with another video without the background of this project appearing? For example, I have a video on which I would like to add a logo that moves, but if the logo has background images, it will distort the video to which I want to add the logo. How can this problem be solved?

I wonder, is it possible to add some text in this tutorial and let it appear at frame 50 and disappear at frame 70. What sort of tool do I have to use? I tried the (merge) PLUS and that looks allright until I start rendering. In the MP4 each time the text appears the screen is blinking white so that's not the correct one I guess. Can you help me out?

Can Natron be used to create video effects edits like Masks, layers, chroma , particle effects etc ? all I saw in your tutorials was creating logos

Just a quick one, I noticed when you scaled the logo then tried to move it to 0,0 it didn't work out as you expected. Just having a quick look, I think you need to set the centre to match the scale. As this one was set at 400,400 resetting it to 200,200 should work.

Do you know how to animate a logo 360°? Like a turn, or a character spinning. You can do it after effects, but I don’t have that and I wanted to know if it’s possible to do that here.

Hi, I created a PNG logo in gimp to test this animation. When I link the PNG to the transformation node I get the following warning... Transform2 warning: Transform2: rendered rectangle (190,144)-(318-272) contains NaN values. It converted it to 1 so I think I can safely ignore the warning but the warning itself is covering the preview window at the top. Do you know how I can get rid of that red warning box?
