People wonder why vtubers are so popular. This is why. I watch vtubers for many reasons, but the thing I like the most is just how unironically and genuinely nice they all are. It feels like in order to be successful in the western youtube and streamer culture, you have to lather and coat yourself in thirty layers of irony and hatred, both to protect yourself from assholes, and to entertain the other assholes. But vtubers don't subscribe to that rethoric. They get to (and this is the ironic part) be themselves, without putting up any obnoxious, ridiculous fronts. And this isn't just an Asian or Japanese thing, because Hololive EN is doing the same thing, and they are blowing up. It's just such a breath of fresh air to be able to watch nice people do nice and fun things without feeling the instinctual need to cringe because.... because why would I need to cringe? Don't get me wrong, I like being toxic just as much as the next person, and I'm reaching levels of irony and sarcasm that shouldn't even be possible, but the past 3 years I feel like that's all that's even left in this culture. And as much as it was fun, it's good that there now exist asylums like these, where you can take a breather and just be comfy, without feeling the need to put up thirty million defensive walls just to make it through the day without succumbing to depression. Also, Matsuri is the most seiso idol in all of Hololive, and I will fight anyone in these streets if they disagree with me.

Subaru is the definition of "actions speak louder than words". Poor Matsuri though. It's frustrating when you can't get the hang of something especially when you play a role in a big production. You start to wonder if you're just not cut out for it if everyone else is far ahead, but her good friends changed that negative experience into a positive memory. Hopefully she works hard and gets an SS on her routine.
