She is a grappling master. She also does wrestling, jiu-jitsu, Japanese sambo, and more. she's an anaconda Japanese women are number one in wrestling. The world knows why she's so strong, right? FROM JAPAN🇯🇵👘⛩🥇
Its amazing how much leverage she gets for her tomoe nage even though she loses all momentum when she scoots under. Theres a slight pause in motion then her opponent gets slingshot over her. Must have some rediculous leg and hip strength.
It was a sovereign performance by Tsunoda on this tournament. Impressive tomoe nage and great newaza. At 2:50 we can see good switch from juji gatame to hara gatame.
It seemed consistent with some of the other DQ's from this year. I thought Figueroa deserved a score for a really weird sutemi-waza early in the match.
Funa Tonaki was picked at the end of 2019 to be on the Olympic team and Japan Judo decided not to review their selections even though the Olympics was delayed by a year. Tsunoda only switched to the 48 kilo class after the 2019 World's, so was still a bit of a question mark at 48 kilos when the selections were made.
