Already looking forward to next Amman Thiruvizha, finally, I find the time to up-load the video from the Nattam Mariyamman Festival 2023.
Normally behind the camera and filming the festivals, I participated in the festival for the third time, together with a lady from Madurai. This time, I got a professional videographer who documented the festival.
When arriving in Nattam, processions of Mariyamman bhaktas fulfilling their nettikatan where already going on everywhere. Our two drummers were late, so we had to wait and could observe the other processions. Finally, they arrived. After drinking a hot tea to beat the cold temperatures of the morning time, they were ready and we headed towards the teppakulam where a pucari performed rituals for us. Then, we started to participate in the procession of the Nattam Mariyamma Thiruvizha.
