@1MaineTV according to all of the reports, he didn't. He landed awkwardly on his throat and leg. The blunt force trauma killed him. He tried to get up once and collapsed. Val venis supposedly saw him being wheeled back stage and his eyes were wide open and he was already dead while EMT were doing chest compressions on him.

All the respect to the poor woman who lost her uncle, but this is appallingly offensive. He feels a pain in his chest and the back of his head?! Thousands, possibly millions saw what happened to Owen live. It's no secret at all. This is incredibly distasteful.

Apparently her parents were working against Martha Hart in her lawsuit against WWE, they stole some documents and faxed them to Vince McMahon. It's horrible what Martha went through after the passing of Owen Hart, but faced it all with without backing off, a true fighter and one of the strongest women ever.
