This is hands down the best makeup review and tutorial, usually I watch them and think of drag queens but this looks beautiful. I’ve ordered some W3ll people items but I will definitely look at the rms range :-)
You look stunning. And this tutorial is a perfect one for the latest trending technique called strobing.. Highlighting is so effective in creating that glowing ethereal look. I just ordered the RMS master mixer and cant' wait to try it.
so glad to find this video. ive been looking for a good swatch of sublime and im definitely going to pick up the mascara. i loved feathered, natural lashes. i just need something to kinda hold my curl. thanks for this.
I've read about sunflower oil beeing not the most stable oil. But im also concerned about the coconutoil because i have Acne prone skin.I really love the natural finish of your makeup, will def. check your videos for inspo in the future.Much love 🖤
Love that RMS's coconut oil base looks so hydrating yet light. My skin has been flaky and dry this Spring so definitely in the market to make a switch. The W3LL People highlighter looks beautiful on your skin :) xx
+Jo Levy Thanks Jo! The RMS base feels really nice and light to wear, and is a good choice for dry skin - I'm also dry, so it's nice to get a more dewy look with my base!
Gorgeous look! I just got into RMS and W3ll People- absolutely love them. The problem I'm having though is finding a green mascara that doesn't smudge. I have really oily lids, so I need a waterproof mascara. But yes, perfect video👍🏻
+Tuolumne Meadows Thanks so much for the kind comment :) I'm having a real RMS and W3LL people moment too! Unfortunately I can't suggest a good green waterproof mascara - I'm also on the lookout, so let me know if you find one!!
+Charlene Hoit Glad you're enjoying the channel Charlene :) And thanks for the recommendation - I haven't yet tried anything from Eminence, I'm excited to check them out!
The Honest Beauty Beyond Protected Daily Beauty Fluid Sheer (pink container) SPF 30 is awesome! It actually gives you a slight healthy glow; great for summer when you have a tan, but equally nice in the winter- doesn't look orange or weird at all. They are out of stock right now, as I believe they had troubles with the packaging. They will probably re-release it new packaging very soon.
sooo glad to find your channel!! this is something i've been wanted to know for a long time!! i am getting the products you used in the video! i'm looking forward to more of these clean beauty videos! btw, what's the nail polish are you wearing in the video? I am dying to know!! Thank you
+cutie8pie Thanks so much - glad you enjoyed it! I'll have to do another makeup video soon :) The nail polish is called "Tea Please" by Treat Collection. It's my all time favourite at the moment - going to use that colour today!!
Sunflower oil actually is anti-inflammatory. It's better than most other oil options for sensitive skin. It's used widely in Ayurveda, along with sesame, for skin that's prone to blemishes or rashes (Pitta skin).
I also have suuuper dry lips (it literaly bleeds sometimes) and eczema which is the reason I've never been fond of the lipstics. Could you please tell me if you use any other product apart from agave mask? thanks! btw, beautiful final result! ;-)
Hey! I also love the Harraw lip balms - they are very moisturising. However my eczema and lip dryness is nearly 100% gone now that I've focussed on healing my gut...which was at the root of all my skin issues. Take a look at our video on clear skin if you want to know a bit more - I also plan on making a dedicated video about how I healed my eczema very soon
Hey, just found your channel. This makeup is gorgeous on you and I love rms! Random question though - where did you get your earrings?? Finding it ridiculously hard to find some pretty but simple studs that aren't too big!
Thanks Catherine! I love RMS too - in fact it's my favourite natural makeup brand! My second piercings are actually quite new, so it's just the simple studs I got at the piercing shop! If you can find a piercing shop they actually have a great range of sizes. Other than that I LOVE sarah&sebastian (you can find them online) for simple earrings, although they are quite expensive as a hand made Australian brand
I would try Josie Maran's Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 Protect + Perfect Tinted Warm Glow, none of the "white ghost affect" and lots of SPF! It is a favorite of mine.
You look absolutely gorgeous. This makeup look completely enhances your natural beauty - just stunning. I have dry skin and very dry lips as well. I am CONSTANTLY on the search for something that will heal my lips vs just making them surface moisturized. I'm starting to wonder if such a product exists... ☹. If you don't have the RMS mix master I'd highly recommend it for you. It's an eye shadow, highlighter, lip gloss "everything" product and when you combine it with your current RMS products (or other brands) you transform their colors in the most beautiful way! I've finally found my perfect sunscreen and it's expensive but so worth it! It's PA++++ SPF 50 by Eve Lom. It contains sunscreen but also anti aging ingredients, feels amazing & leaves no white cast. Good luck to you!
+Sarah Kalnajs Sarah - thanks so much for your comment! Ugh...dry lips are the worst, aren't they! I do like the Bite Beauty balm I mentioned, and also Lanolips (although both contain lanolin, which some people react to), but I totally understand what you mean about only treating surface dryness. I find getting more omegas in my diet helps with the dryness "from within" so to speak, and I'm working with a naturopath to heal my gut with probiotics etc. For me, I think this is the real source of dryness - especially on my lips. I'm very intrigued by the RMS mix master - thanks for the recommendation! I think it'll be my next purchase from RMS. I'll check out the Eve Lom as well - I know a counter that sells it nearby me :) xx
I really like Suntegrity's 5 in 1 for tinted sunscreen, though i don't love it for layering with foundation (I just use it on days when I just want concealer + tinted moisturizer). Also, I just wanted to say that your skin is STUNNING! I really thought you were wearing makeup in the beginning when you just had oil on your face.
+SRoberts815 Thanks so much for the recommendation and the compliment! It really means a lot, especially since I've been working hard to heal the root causes of my eczema - which was all over my face not so very long ago!!
I too used nutrition/life changes to heal my skin, so I totally appreciate the hard work it takes--congratulations! It's so cool when you can really see the impact of what you're doing. Thankfully, eating well is also the most delicious, and it led me to my current path of becoming a nutritionist :)
Yes I think my skin problems were a blessing and a curse - I hated having bad skin, but I'll now be eating well for the rest of my life! The impact that eating well (and healing my gut) has had on my skin is like night and day. I think it's very cool that you're becoming a nutritionist - the fact that you've used diet and lifestyle changes to heal yourself will be so valuable in helping others :) Awesome!!
I am looking for natural/organic beauty channels but I am finding that it seems all the people who have done organic makeup videos are all dry skins. I am struggling to find an oily skin youtuber to test and try organic makeup. I find most of the makeup contains many oils and emollients and I would just like find someone who's tried it out that's combo/oily like me. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!
Michelle Madruga I don't know an youtubers either, but I can really recommend a foundation. It's the jane iredale powder foundation. I have acne prone sensitive oily skin and I've been using it for years. :)
Hi Averett! There are no creams or topical products that can heal eczema (it will just come back). I healed my skin by going to the root cause (gut health!). I go through it all in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pmqZ-wtRPN0.html. We've also launched an online course teaching you how to do the same - Get Glowing Online: www.getglowing.online
I use this tinted sunscreen instead of foundation . I don't like layering lots of stuff on my face . The consistency is a little thick but I add a drop of the 100% Pure Primer to it and that makes it easier to apply and gives it a dewy look. They don't have too many shades though.
I'm a new subscriber and love your video here. For facial sunblock, I've been using Suntegrity's 5 in 1 Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen. It's 20% uncoated non-nano zinc and has antioxidants as well. It comes 5 tinted shades so you'll def be able to find the one that works. I find it's okay under foundation (unlike the commenter blw). Good luck!
Your skin looks amazing even without makeup! I like to use mineral foundation with spf as sun protection. Currently Bare Minerals spf 25. I'm super pale already, don't need a any extra whiteness to my face :D
+aislenn Thanks - so nice of you to say :) Yes I like the Bare Minerals too, although my skin has been super super dry lately :( Know what you mean about being super pale - the white cast in sunscreens can make me look ill sometimes!
Where do you get your organic makeup, (specifically w3ll people) in Australia? I live in Aus too and I find I almost always have to order in, can be quite annoying. Any suggestions on where to pick up organic makeup would be AMAZING!! Xx
Hi Taylor - unfortunately I haven't found any places that stock a good range of organic makeup in Australia! I buy RMS at Mecca Cosmetica and Inika at Biome (not sure if you have a store near you). Otherwise I buy all my organic beauty and skincare online, mostly through nourishedlife.com.au and iamnaturalstore.com.au :)
+Trine Nielsen Thanks Trine - I'm planning a video and blog post about my gut healing experience. Hope you're going well on GAPS - I found intro quite difficult but I think it really jumpstarted my healing. Best of luck!
You can actually set the RMS Eye Polish with the original Un Powder. Just use a small fluffy brush, (tap to remove excess product) and apply lightly over a closed eye, being careful to not go too close to the lash line. It really works to absorb the excess oil and lessens creasing.
hi, I am wondering where you source your natural beauty products from.. online, or is there a bricks mortar store near you? thank you. I am in queensland and would love to find a shop I could visit to see these products before purchasing. 😊
+Poppet Hogwart Toadflax mostly online (iamnaturalstore and nourished life)! Although I do buy RMS beauty products at Mecca Cosmetica. I hope some more physical stores for natural beauty products open up, as it's a bit tricky buying online I agree!
+DigginWells the RMS uncover up is pretty creamy, and I do have to make sure not to apply too much under my eyes. Otherwise it does crease on me. But otherwise I really enjoy it as a foundation and spot concealer :)
I used to use the same bite beauty agave lip mask you showed in this video. I thought I was developing some kind of eczema like patches on my lips and I did't know why. Then one day I was chatting about their products with a makeup artist at Sephora and she told me that all of their lip products really dried out her lips. I stopped using any of their products and after 3 weeks my lips went back to normal. Do you think it could be causing your issue too or did you already have it? You don't have to answer I was just wondering if other people may have the same issue as me.
No I don't actually (however I do keep my skincare in the fridge!). The coconut oil in the rms beauty products makes them last really well. In fact they seem to age better than conventional beauty products I've owned!
This is great to see how you apply your makeup. I wonder if you might have a nickel allergy and if that could be causing your eczema in the eye area? That happened to me from all metal eyelash curlers I tried (even ones that were supposed to be stainless steel, gold-plated, etc) even though they were only on my eye for less than a minute each day. I think my allergic reaction was magnified because the eye area can be so sensitive. I do get rashes from earrings or even pants buttons that contain nickel as well but those need to be on my skin longer to get a rash. Anyway, now I use a plastic heated eyelash curler and I no longer get the rash. I will link in case you want to try it - they are cheap: www.drugstore.com/ardell-heated-eyelash-curler/qxp146372?catid=183641 I love your videos - I'm on week three of whole30 and you've given me some great inspiration and ideas, so thanks!
+Betsy Bradley Hi Betsy - thanks so much for your comment! I did suspect nickel at first, but it ended up being food (and gut) related! However if even a few seconds of exposure can cause a reaction, I could have been reacting as well! Thanks for the link - actually I'm a big fan of heated eyelash curlers, but haven't used one in years! Also, so glad you're enjoying the videos :) xx
